we are separated
from the others
by a thin membrane
electromagnetic
we are receptors
unignited ununited
only tuned into our own
frequency
existing to be lit
the fuses touching
reaching delicately
that which we do
and do not see,
believe
answers embedded
in tablets read
then swallowed

being spoken
we hear them

in Elysium we meet

awaiting transmutation

transparent
some rapturously

some transfigured on clouds,

when faced with real fire
we turn from it all, liquid crux
we hide in our corners
unremarkable after all of it
human until the last

stilled, golden manna
for strange gods to feast
we remain monomaniac
immovable, in our minds
we are submerged
baptised
in the pharisaic premise
eternal, surviving death
mice on wheels nibbling
airs and graces
recycled for rounds of lessons,
in the after wash
still seeking the root cause
for belief
we are receptors

only tuned into

frequency
like locks
will only accept
specifically shaped keys
existing to be lit open
