All Hail the Headrest of Headrests

An empty trains an empty train
dust mites crawl
might seem so small

It’s home though
if I can fit my eyes just below the headrest
I can watch myself become a man

A worthy opponent of the world
Proud
Indigenous
Family man

All is well
although if you were to ask the grass
just below the picket fence
it would have a story to tell

Man loves
woman rebounds
what a serve
such grace

Remember that poetry meant something at one point
Frolic
Walk
Dance
just get the damn steps right

Meat left out will be sniffed
the rings can’t be missed
can’t feel alive

Meat is strung to dogs pulling for their life
I want my eyes back now
plan failed
Regain innocence
regain life
Maintain stability
maintain wife

I want my eyes back please
Wake me up if things turn out different
