Jesus In The Temple
Temple, dwelling of the Father, pulled him towards its shrine.
Food for his physique and psyche from its abyss, he drew
For the design of new skins of wine, he became a sign
Scripture, as though the source of nectar, sparked in him goals new.
As though a new prophet, the young and old felt him inspire.
Puzzlement filled their interiors at his discussions.
To spell out the soul of salvation, he was on fire.
Wasn't he the one to save mankind from all destructions?
Joseph knew this. Emmanuel had a mission assigned.
Mary kept each thing in mind and meditated upon
The wisdom he gained from the heavens, on earth, he applied.
In human hearts, he sowed seeds of an optimistic dawn.
Learning, teaching, and labouring— he lived to the fullest.
In body and soul, he drilled his mind to face any test.
