drawbacks

there's something there, that draws me in,
like a mosquito to a flame.
my sorrow blooms, it swells away
so swiftly - keeping me at bay.

i glance back at the dark - see nothing.
if i approach, then - it will vanish.
the graveyard seeps; it's of my words,
it feels like losing in a game of cards.

that light i followed, is now lost.
where is it, when, i need it most?
i sit and gaze into my home;
the darkness – in which, i was born.

it gives me flowers, forgive me not,
they're toxic, but– that's what i'm worth.
you teach me wine, but what are you?
the pieces of advice are few.

what is so precious to the heart?
why is it staring my soul out?
the ravens flying back and forth,
meandering from west to north.

you ceased to shine: the somber feeling
is eating me slowly, and alive.
you live in heaven, but where is mine?
there is no light, it's all gone now.

i know, perceive:
why hesitate? its all the same.
the pain of mine, it fades away.
it's crumbling, suffering,
grip, command— screams...

the world collapses under our feet,
the end of life, that i don't fear.
the promise you gave me then,
did not last long, but i'm still here.

we scream, we cry, and weep,
we build the world, we're called weak.
the lives we build are on our bones,
on hyacinths, and silent woes.
