Comfort Fiction
Fictional walks down fictional roads
Walk off my angst and non fictional loads
With fictional love but real hand holds
Can so much talk still be spoken in codes
And something makes sense
But not love as we know it
Perhaps feelings enhance
When you chat poet to poet
And though we're so close
You're a best friend of mine
The lines are so clear
But still ill-defined
I'm drawn to the peace and serenity you bring
That silent safe space that is just us kind of thing
And I know I'd gladly collapse into your arms if the word you'd just say
Let you save me from thought and this just too much day
Fictional strides down comforting track
Walk off unrest and never look back
With fictional love filling in all the gaps
I'm just tired, forgive my momentary lapse
