Intrusive yet intriguing

It came in the night
Unannounced and silent
To proclaim
To torment the very thought
Of a unitive reality
Strategically moving
As though life was nothing more
Than a jagged piece of ivory
Sliding along a glossy landscape
That's painted black and white
Hiding in a corner
Shadowed by a single thought
Which piece
Which piece does one sacrifice
When the opponent is nothing more than a Flicker of opposing thoughts created
By a mind that's occupied by another
The board is placed
A line is drawn
Though invisible
It's clear what's at stake
Chaos
Madness
Unity
Peace
Am I not fighting a war
That's destined to be lost
To be forced into madness
Enslaved in the same vessel
With thoughts that seek chaos
This intrusion is less than desired Forbidden truth
This unitive reality is the intrusion
The unforseen shawdow
The chaos
It has always been my guiding light
My torch in the tunnel of darkness
Would that not mean
Two sides
Two different realities
Cut from the same cloth
Fighting
To control the same flesh covered soul
Maybe I'm just here to observe
Maybe the war is not mine to fight
It's not mine to control
Or to judge which side is right
Maybe I should stay hidden in my corner
Allow both realities to merge
With hopes of creating a new thought
A thought that allows
My hidden eye to see past
The black and white
Maybe the truth lies in the gray
