From the outside in
The curtains now drawn,
their windows are closed.
What is happening inside
one can only suppose..
I'm certainly not a "peeping Tom",
perhaps a seasoned serial mom..
Peoples behaviors always interested me.
I guess that's why I majored in Sociology,
and now I'm home bound, temporarily..
Whose lights are on and burning bright
when I'm wide awake now in the middle of the night?
Which neighbors go to work each day?
Which yards are tended which ones in disarray?
Are there children in school?
Is that a senior bus?
Who owns a dog among us?
Condos and townhomes align my
quiet street, from the outside in,
respectful and discreet..
