Climate Change
The sky, a canvas, once a vibrant blue,
now bruised and swollen with a sickly hue.
The seasons falter in a restless dance,
where winter's chill forgets its frozen trance.
The ancient rhythms broken out of time,
a fragile earth where shadows darkly climb.
The whispered warnings lost in selfish ears,
a rising chorus of unspoken fears.
The melting giants weeping in the sun,
a silent testament to what we've done.
The parched earth cracks, a thirst that knows no end,
where barren landscapes mourn a lost dear friend.
The storms awaken with a furious might,
a planet's anger claiming day and night.
The fragile balance shattered piece by piece,
a legacy of sorrow that will never cease.
The empty spaces where the wild things roam,
a silent echo of a lost sweet home.
A desperate question hanging in the haze,
can human hearts still find redemptive ways?
To mend the wounds with gentle knowing hands,
and plant the seeds in long-forgotten lands.
To find the wisdom in a world undone,
and weave a future where new dawns are spun.
