Chimerical
A walk solitary in the evening,
took me to a path
that led to the vast calm sea
under the serene blue sky;
In the midway, I stopped
to reach a spot so calm and placid,
with verdant plains of pristine blooms,
in green rusticity of bucolic charm,
when whispers of my soul echoed
and merged into that stillness:
stillness of an enchanting moment,
of a delightful warm evening.
Feeling the throb of silence,
I pondered on the musings of my soul,
lost in thought on the fragility of life;
In a trancelike state that followed,
I saw the golden sun setting over
the primordial sea and felt
my eyes strained to catch a glimpse
of a cherubic shadowy image,
emerging and floating
in the distant faint hazy sky.
An ephemeral moment shrouded in obscurity...
Is it real or imaginary?
Mouth agape, I saw a dainty form
like that of an ethereal divine spirit:
so delicate, graceful, gossamer-fragile;
the angelic figure opened her mouth,
as if to say something to me,
in a low faint voice.
Anxiety overtook my poise,
in that dreamlike illusory moment
Ah so oneiric;
as I glared at the wispy shape,
at that mystical instant
that seemed to be surreal,
I heard tunes mellifluous,
and chiming of soft bells;
swirling hues of blue, purple
and golden yellow,
and sparkles of light
charmed my eyes - all
so chimeric and unreal.
Then, the starry-eyed heavenly angel
spoke to me in her soothing soft voice:
"The soul of Nature is bleeding
Never let Her perish... "
An evening chorus of pigeons
now roused me from my reverie.
I stood there in astonishment,
reflecting on all that happened
A while ago...
The angel had disappeared...
Now, the sun was about to set,
and I was standing
at the same spot as before...
With the message of the angel
still echoing in my mind...
