Between Man and God, a Cavernous Rift Hath Grown, Tribute To John Donne

Between Man And God, A Cavernous Rift Hath Grown,
 Tribute: To John Donne

Between Man and God, a cavernous rift hath grown
Fed by fleshy desires and seeds by devils sown
Rotten fruits of which were spread across hill and dell
Consumed on earth, gifting dark passage into hell.
Mankind in blindness hath fallen beyond true sight
Wayfarer lost into abyss of darkest night,
Devoid of truth and in greed's palms a sorry waste
Lo! Right into raging seas to dark waters taste!
Soon far from Nature's gifts and blinded by his greed
Celebrating folly, proclaiming greater need,
He Mother earth rapes, its lush green forests burns
As if he made it all, thus all earth's treasures earns.

Alas! Greed's heart birthing ever increasing wars
Gives rise to devil's parades, man's eternal scars!
