From Blue Eyes to Black Screens

The doors remain firmly shut
Until you leave behind everything you knew.
Whoa, calm down loneliness,
I've been kind to all I've seen.
It's their choice if I'm left unanswered.

Doesn't fix the situation I am facing,
Shouting, looking up.
I have no judgments!
Surely that's enough to progress?

A moment of contemplation,
They can tell within my being certain things I disagree with.
This may be true, I was born in a different world.
Although it's all been done before,
This isn't anything new.

The snow comes down in flakes
One can only accept when planted in one's face.
Probably not the best answer,
Not like I have a choice!
You will not get a bad word spoken from me on one's decisions.

Just know the damage it's causing to others,
How it seeps into the mind like a virus,
Families affected.
Taking comfort in spinning my nephew round in the air,
World at his feet, bright blue eyes darkened on becoming my niece.

Ready for the slam, rush me.
You can't say that, freedom of choice.
I remember that freedom of choice,
But I was at the ripe age of 18, not 8!
Everything back then was just a phase.

Your body is the key, a future of medication,
Un-enjoying life’s purities.
It's not their fault.
Could lay it at the feet of the parents,
But I am not one, not my place.

It's the pixilation around everyone's eyes,
Killing daily lives, paid monthly.
Pretty black screens.
When was the last time touched soil,
Playing within the grass?

Not trending? I see...
If these doors remain shut, so be it,
It's all an illusion anyway,
Falling from the tree, decaying essence
Yet from the ground, rebirth commences.
I will selfishly pray it's done right
without any out side influence.
