One step at a time
As clouds march behind the larger one ahead,
I think about one step at a time being easier instead
When dealing with life's big changing events,
it can lead to being tired, and also stressed
I find trying to do a piece at a time is helpful and best
Somehow it makes things easier to fall into place
A big picture all at once can be overwhelming to face
I finish a task, take a break and tell myself I'm getting there
There's a lot at stake, worth the focus, on one thing, not everywhere
It can become easier, than one would expect it to be
Because fearful anticipation blocks the ability to see
So I give it a try, it is working, each day at a time I face
Later I'll look back, at accomplishments from my destined place
