The Forest in the Woods

Lost in the solitude of time they journey through the forest in their mind, searching for a path that would lead them out of the dark; the woods were so thick that they had to cut through the shrubs and dig out a ditch, they toil day and night to find the path that leads to daylight, but they keep going around in circles and could not find a way out.

They honker down next to the stream and continue to journey in the deep. The birds flew above them, but they were sound asleep, and daylight turn to night in the forest of their mind. I saw them grasping for breath and chewing on grass to keep the moisture in their mouth, but the pent-up energy starts to shout but they continue their journey in the deep and they were fast asleep.

What do you hope for in the tropics when the sun is running a marathon around the earth, and sky above is saturated with rain clouds and an oracle from space is moving at a speed and changing the rhythm on the earth. I watch them spreading out on the ground fast asleep and the wind blowing cold air over their feet.

They have been living in the woods for more than a decade, like the aborigine of time and making a living out of an American dime; they farm the land and go finishing in the sand. The ground is fertile, and the earth gives them more than they had bargain for, but they were made to suffer in the forest of their mind.

The days passes swiftly under the clock, and they circle in the woods searching for the mystery line that was tied up in the vines, they run so deep in the wood hiding in giant trees even the birds get tangled up in them when they have a mission for the heavens.

I stood on the other side and watch them toiling in the sun barefoot and bare back, they sit on the track counting the leaves on the trees and making circles in the dry ground.

And when they have nothing to do, they go fishing by river and have cook banana and fish for their supper. They suck honey from the beehive in the tree and eat cabbage from the bush and drink coconut water from the tree that hangs on the side of the brook. What awaits them only destiny knows but they continue in the maze, and they have no place to go.

The forest in the wood has crowded the land, the forest in the woods is where destiny stand; you have to find the path before it grows dark, or the heavens will touch the earth and fill the galaxy with dirt.

See them waking up from their sleep you have to rescue them from the deep, show them the path in front of you, and lead them towards the track below and it will show them exactly where to go.

The entrance was there from the beginning of time, but the forest had crowded their mind, and they could not see what was in line. They have made a living in the woods and have learnt the lesson of time, and left the forest behind, but the footprints stand still in the forest of their mind.
