A Man, Most Newtonic

Here's to the fellow we hold dear,
his blood, it was said, teutonic.
He holed up in County Lincolnshire
to escape the plague (bubonic).

'Twas there an apple fell on his head
and gave him a wonderful notion.
Before he even went to bed,
he wrote down the laws of motion.
