~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Character 1: Maria
Character 2: Capt. von Trapp
Scene: Music Room in von Trapp mansion, Switzerland
Dialogue:
Capt.: Maria! Why are my children wearing clothes made from curtains?
Maria: Making clothes is one of my favorite things to do for your urchins.
Capt.: Listen, Maria! I prefer my girls in white dresses with blue satin sashes.
Maria: But sir I prefer when we go singing, all their clothes are matches.
Capt.: Oh, Maria, how I’d hoped with my wishes you’d learn to comply!
Maria: Perhaps, 'tis time to say so long, farewell, auf wiedersehen, goodbye.
Capt.: I’m confused,out of focus,bemused. How do I solve a problem like you?
Maria: I’ll climb every mountain, ford every stream, return to abbey. Boo Hoo.
Capt.: Better that you stay. Will you from the curtain fabric make me a vest?
Maria: Yes sir, gladly! Onto it I’ll even embroider the von Trapp family crest.
