Apostolic Challenge

OF APOSTOLIC CHALLENGE

		I know the mask you wear
		is not you;
		nor are the hilarious snorts,
		silly giggles, and screams:
		the real you—beautiful
		soul—earlier reflected itself…

		A mask can not reflect
		what it is not—veiling
 		that which it can never be—
		so I sit here in contemplation
		of the task ahead
		to bring back you—to bring
		you back—from the influence
		of the demon spirit
		controlling and leading you
		away from the true you…
		leaving me tenaciously chasing
		that phantom spirit
		chasing you
		trying to dissolve your grasp
		of self—leaving a lost soul
		in search of its navel beginning…

		While the waters of time
		may dissolve the crystals of pain,
		the keloids of memory remain;
		and though without limits,
		time takes timed time
		in its tic-tock melting…

		Meanwhile, I sit here
		beseeching the Sacred Power
		to grant me divine wisdom
		and guidance in the mission purpose;

		a challenge faced with warrior hope
		and the tenaciousness of valiant faith
		that this cross too,
		shall soon know the emptiness of inevitable
		resurrection…

		We are all of the family
		of the bare cross—its healing spirit
		forever with us—
		if it were not so there’s no way
		I would be sitting here
		penning purpose preparation …

		p.s.: A wiser one literally wrote:
         		 You only need to seek and
         		 you shall find…
         		 You only need to ask and
          		it shall be given…
          		You only need to knock and
          		the door shall be opened…
