FAITH IN GOD WHO ANSWERS US WITH HIS COUNSEL
God answers us with His counsel of statute’s fulfillment
As He cleanses our hearts from defilement
For us to live for Him by faith according to His commandment
With His wisdom, guiding our discernment.
God answers us with His counsel of righteousness
As He lifts our hopelessness toward helpfulness
For us to apply His precepts by faith in His graciousness
With His mercy and loving kindness.
God answers us with His counsel of truth for our refining
As He fashions our character along His straightening
For us to trust Him by faith amidst daily happening
With His sanctification along holiness-reigning.
God answers us with His counsel of illumination
As He lights our paths toward service-function
For us to follow Him by faith, thanking Him for our redemption
With His guidance and direction.
God answers us with His counsel of wondrous advice
As He instructs our choices, opening our blurred eyes
For us to learn from Him by faith against deceitful disguise
With His enlightenment to subdue evil device.
God answers us with His counsel of rejoicing
As He cheers our spirits for worshipful praising
For us to exalt Him by faith along His blessing
With His care and provisions around His enclosing.
God answers us with His counsel of assurance
As He empowers our service in our perseverance
For us to continue by faith upon prayerful endurance
With His safeguard while practicing temperance.
