What shame, what pity
If curves of infinity
Fail to give my soul
Sense of being whole,
With Nature affinity!

Long winding beaches
On hilly stretches,
Sandy Sea till sight catches.

On a dark dense night
Ah a rare nature-lit light,
What a ghost-like sight!

Here is nature lighting its own light, a rare happening locally called chir batti, a long-burning lamp or ghost light. It happens in this desert due to a phenomenon called bioluminescence.
