O how she lamented in Ramah,
over the innocent children,
who were no more,
Herod. heinous and deranged,
killed all children under two years old
and she was severely sore.
But today Rachel still weeps inconsolably
over the millions being killed every day.
Notes:
Originally Rachael lamented because she died after child birth. This happened after she was barren for many year. See Genesis.
Hundreds of years passed when Herod killed the Innocent babes. Bethlehem was very small. No one knows the number of killed babies but it could not have been a large number.
Through the wee hours of the dawn
On a cold autumn night of
February. The harmattan harsh
And dry breeze blowing
I overhear the leaves weepy-scratchy
Noise. Still but almost conscious,
Generously, her angelic face
Came, flashing, over my memory
And those valentine that passed,
One whom cannot be forgotten.
Smiles as tender, Rachael,
Emenaha says "all the best".
Portrait of Rachael
She writes, oh she writes, and sometimes she cannot find the words.
They come to her when she least expects.
Suddenly she pulls it all together.
Maybe in her dreams, or just going through her day.
You see, her gifted mind will not let her rest
This is who she is, what she does.
The life she gives to her characters is significant as you get to know them.
Then there is the suspense as well as the sensation of being in their presence.
Just when you think you have figured it out, she surprises you with her wisdom.
You wish for more but know it is over, as she brings you to the unique ending
Satisfaction and anticipation comes for you know
She is already creating her next novel!
Earth of gray,
Something dreadful on the horizon looms.
There is no black and no white today,
Laws exist but justice is doomed.
Morality is labeled religion,
And must be separated from state,
Whose own religion is political correctness
And determining God's fate.
Oh heaven rain down on us,
We are tasting your tears.
Yes we've become that bad,
Confirming your fears,
That what has been done ,
is being done again,
Those lessons taught,
coming to naught.
Judges and laws make it legal,
to be rid of your innocent babes,
Under a symbol of the eagle,
God's loving justice betrayed.
Racheal you cry the tears,
that now only heaven supplies,
because ours have dried,
In the dust of our alibies.
Excuses and lies are linked,
As you and I know well,
The truth is all but extinct.
Truth is foreign to hell.
Oh heaven, look down on this world of gray.
Something dreadful is watching and looms.
Is there nothing left but to watch and pray,
While Rachael wails by the dumpster tombs?
