The Pit

A feral battle between two starving men
That rages for ages with no knowable end.

Deep in the pit, exchange blow for blow
No escape, never free, forever held down below.

Brown bloodied rags hang off their skin
A visceral clash deep, deep therein.

Deep beetled brow looks rabidly down
Into hopeful pure eyes, neither making a sound

The silent exchange of resolve and of blood.
None else exists but man's will and the mud.

Neither will die no matter the force.
The fate of the men rotate in due course.

There is nothing else after, and was nothing before.
One wins a battle but neither wins the war.

The upper hand depends on the day.
A layer of flesh is with what all men pay.

One man breathes red and has ruby’s for eyes.
The other fights tempered with measured bled tries.

Pure savage ferocity against patience and poise
With the thrashing and crashing, only grit makes a noise.

From just the right angle they both look the same.
But the battle yet rages, they strangle for his name.

I invite all human kind
to shun Trumpeting Towers
because they are irrelevant
to all MeWe things therapeutic

And because
my depressing blues songs
and green signs
tell
and retell
ultra-nonviolet me

we don't feed narcissistic
angry red
rabidly stampeding
ballistic elephants

Cuz it's not healthy
nor resiliently wealthy,
compassionately unwise.

Eclipses Obscured

The ancient Hindu text mentions the story of the celestial dragon,
the serpent that drinks the nectar of Gods holding wagon.
Indicating that abundance has its limits, get to the grips,
beheading the manipulating leech causing the eclipse.
The temporarily obscurity being in the shadow of another body,
or having another body pass between it for the viewers lobby.
Abandonment or the darkening of heavenly lights,
transformation and change of direction by celestial traffic cites.
The dragons bite virus in control of fears and misconception,
false perceptions and slippery tongue promised protection.
Orbital motions repeating harmonic patterns,
those who trust them know all what matters.
Revelation of ancient testimonies reveals the truth,
while others trying selling you the ferry tooth.
When words and promises have no meaning,
marbled sculptured humanity is rabidly declining.
The ecliptic dragon as spiritual liberator,
when pretenses desires are the generator.
The truth even obscured is the solution,
observations by twilight eclipse conclusion.
The dream maker of life and its credits,
time snaps where change is necessity edits.

Premium MemberBe a Spirit of Light

Tribulation always has been in the world!!
You can literally choose to rise above it.
Ever notice,there is agreement how
terrible life is, in a dark, black swirl?
Well, then, what are you going to do about it?

Dare to express joy or peace, my friend?
Your friends will send you emails about
how the sky is falling.
You, yes you, determines your joy that never ends.
As a poet, to lift souls, is a most divine, propitious calling,

Mind clutter as delivered by the media?
Endless, evil, totally soul destroying,
We are the ones listening rabidly to all
this, searching for life's answers in Google or Wikipedia?
Turn off the news, and discover life is still incredibly beautiful
and spiritually, quite soul- buoying!

Oh, do create miracles for others right now!
Do not crush souls, by being a negative media twin!
It's on our power as poets to lift souls
out  of the mud, with the Spirit of Light, somehow!

Impromptu

i work
Saturdays
i work
Sundays
seems that
i work
everyday

still it pays
the bills and
saves
me mentally
my mentality
is casually
getting
caustic
lately

toxic words
dripping
drooling
from my mouth
lips covered
with froth
rapidly
rabidly

causing me
to run
rampantly
stop
standing up
put me
down

Premium MemberWho Do We Appreciate

Earth's nature provokes sacred as a rooster,
crowing greetings
invoking today's meetings
toward GodSun's rise.

World worn spirits
sacred as a wolf
howling toward full moon light
enough for fierce feast feeding times
rendering EarthMother's nourishing sublimes.

In between rabidly distancing Yang
and radically inviting Yin,
both intrusive greetings
and inclusive meetings,
wildly ecstatic
co-emphatic
sacred life
means not yet death
of nature's howlings.

Premium MemberAnna Karenina

Anna Karenina, by Leo Tolstoy,
approximately 800 redundant pages
of Kafkaesque scoffing
at relentless banalities of economic and political elitists.

Rather like transcribing often inebriated conversations
within all-night insider celebrations
of a ProPlutocracy Party Convention

Or, sadly, a depressed weed-rant
at the end of a long defensive policy debate
among inter-religiously woke Democrats
longing for a win/win DanceParty Convention,
like in the good-old liberally bipartisan ballroom days

Only maybe about 400 condensed
impacted pages shorter
with the remainder quite unliterally
and anti-climatically inscrutable
as planned anti-ecological obsolescence
through mutually partisan assured destruction

Drinking and smoking
through organic Earth's rabidly dark night
denying and/or distracted
from synergetically addressing
our unwell-disorganizing Anthropocene
of epically AnthroNarcissistic
autocratic-monopolistic chaos

Adding nothing more useful
or healthy
or sacred
to Kafkaesque scoffing
at relentlessly drunk banalities
of economic and political elitists.

My Love Is Like a Corpse

My love is like a corpse
Upon the gothic floor
Where I have wept till soul is dry
With eyes like corpses when they rise
Behold the sun which melts away
Dying daily with no shame
What shone what found I cannot say
But love is cruel in its way
A kiss like vampires delight
To feed so rabidly at night
As lips of tender crimson drip
Strange man should pine to die like this
And low a shadow in the trees
With moon—and sun upon her knees
Tis darkness in its velvet garb
The mother of my morbid heart
For there are shadows like to trees
They grow surplanting us beneath
Their roots are sorrow in our heart
Such is the macabre of their art
As when upon the listlessness of world
I roam or linger and the breeze
Has coughed and spat its mist on me
A kiss oh naiad of the night
Those lips have cursed my mortal plight
A kiss as soft as corpses breath
Imparting unto me
Some faint but mellow memory
Of love-as love is tragically

Next Queet

NEXT QUEET
10-18-2015 by jr Thornton
“Did you mean all those?
All the ones built to hurt.”
Is there form, plan, or purpose?
To those devices
To the bridge connecting
Was it intention to make sure it has burnt?

Maliciously never-ending
Devoid of way with no more choices
Backed into a corner
Rabidly defending a broken voice
Viciously attacking an emotional donor
A psychic vampire
Fooled once shame on the other
But fooled more than twice.

Ashamed for another.
Walking in fire
Sprinting desire.
Absolute oblivion.

Absolute hell.
Encased in her heart.
Engraved on my soul.

Even still revealed a charade
A farce. A final curtain, or maybe a false start.
Remain ambiguous. Elusively evade.
Judgmental and harsh
No love, or future certain.
No reason or universal constant.
Thought I had something romantic to say,
But only had to fart.

Vampire

The darkness comes
again to
clarify the unseen, all the
while I crawl
out
of the prison I cradled into so to
shy
away from the
light and its
stupid
pretense to simplify the inexplicable

In me duality
rules, blood
and smoke
swirl no longer
apart draining
my soul anew

I spend endless
hours obsessing
over the thought of you, cursing
your name, rabidly
foaming over what
you
are doing to
me: I was
dead
and now I live!

From the abysses
of my days and the heights
of my nights I
yearn
to bite and
poison your happy
flesh of delight with my
same
illness so that
we can be
forever one
among the damned

But then it is
indeed your smile to
rip
through my powerless
guts and weaken my
resolve

For you
I live, for
you I would
gladly
die.

Like You Do

No one frustrates me like you do.
Blood rush to the head, pounding
pulsing metronomically.

No one makes me scream like you.
Banshee wails then growling
rabidly foaming at the mouth

No one makes my pressure rise like you.
I don't despise or detest or loathe
the way I do for you

No one makes me laugh like you
Love nothing more than you
Be safe and sound, take care, won't you?
I'll never have a son like you.
