Doctor to hail for my not being down,
Close to thirty years for my breakdown:
My biggest catch through a brother mate,
Whose only word for him is first rate...
Now exchanging blows with Prostrate Gland:
A cancer of the treatable brand.
He says he'll live - Doctor Retired:
Wages unpaid had got him tired...
Great hopes New Government will this do.
I dared try to this notion pooh-pooh
Should this not be a race against time?
If my voice should sag now real big crime.
For him in Medicine would stick out neck
And this step translate into no wreck!

God I prostrate in my thought on your feet
I want to meet you please show me the street.
God please make my works easy be it big or small
God please never neglect me though I am your doll.
God please light up my soul like morning of the day
God please be my Guide never let me go astray.
(Amen)

I never felt so embarrassed my dear
It’s not like they were checking my ear
He gave me a gown with ties in the back
Is that what they mean by saying no to crack
He said please lay over on your side
I saw his big hands, that’s when I cried
He said there are no lumps that I can find
I said your breaking my behind
He said we’ll go through with a camera when I’m done
I said I hope it’s not a hand held one
He asked can you hold on I’m almost through
To keep from flying that’s what I’ll do
I can’t believe you are in so much pain
It’s because your nurse forgot the novocaine
He said shame on you screaming like that
I said you’re either criminally insane or a democrat
He said the test is complete and you are all clear
I said thank you doctor, see you next year.

It is to your strength this poem is addressed
Even you who took with joy the huge pain
To put me to bed, will of the fruits gain.
Watched over the cradle and would not rest
I have no doubt you did your very best.
Did not let go during the hardship's rain
Your care and profound love was not a feign.
You taught me the very thing I love most.
Your charming heart taught me not to neglect
The plethoric resources on my mind
But impart wisdom from it to my kind
And be a symbol of peace like the dove.
So for that labor of love I respect,
I do admire and prostrate for your love.
