Dear Glory
In America, today has been declared ' Flag Day'.
I join in this declaration to honor and salute you.
Some in my generation have at times burned you.
I am deeply grieved by such displays of disrespect.
Old Glory, please be informed that on this day, June 14,
2025, there are several flags placed on my property.
Certainly, in America as in every country, there are
people of many stripes. Indeed, there are the good,
the bad, and the ugly. In my mind, you represent
a nation of 'good people'. I will not allow the negatives
to blind me of the myride of positivities in America.
Old Glory, when I pause and gaze upon you, I do not
see red states and blue states. Although my eyes
are often clouded by storms of divisiveness, I still
see within the eye of our storms "One Nation, Under
God, Indivisible, With Liberty And Justice For All".
So Glory, again I honor and salute you for all the
good that you represent. Blessings continually.
Sincerely, Sitruc.

To be hopeful is to always believe,
To have faith and to not disbelieve,
To wont more from life than is given,
To strive for success to be driven,
To be hopeless is to give up the fight,
To extinguish that bright sparkling light,
It’s so easy to just lay down, give up,
To just run away and, cover it up,
It’s not always the easiest path way,
But having hope will make headway,
Dreaming of hope is just not enough,
You have to work at it and be tough,
Pushing yourself forward you’ll achieve,
There will be barriers but just believe,
Have faith in yourself, and your abilities,
Ignore the liabilities and impossibilities,
Believe in the opportunities, and positivities
Take advantage of all possible probabilities.

My heart is red but blushes with shades of pink for you
Revived to a softer shade of purple when it's a fragile delicate blue
Sometimes green with envy when a little love sick
Feelings change with these colors that don't stick
Sometimes its black mixed with shades of grey
No worries with yellow and orange positivities on it's way
Sometimes a blank canvas of pure innocent white
Allowing a kaleidoscope of colors to soar and take flight

Self-perfidy ignites the story again
Contemptuously, I run to my patience's edge;
Strain it further, till I make the inner-burst.
Then, retreat callously, pricked by mundane-me.
Stuffing disgust, within air already replete with loathe
Growing old meaninglessly was never been so apparent.
Earthly cravings enshroud 'tomorrow-shines' Dreams
Habituated to condone the swerving: - hope-spikes almost dead.
I concoct excuses faster than getting tagged for manhandling promises
But sometimes, envying weeds, I realize how wasted I am.
Time seems insensitive to my pathetic pace, But I
Still cling to long-back-brewed self-expectations.
With just few hope shreds, I keep the faith candle lighted
These loaned hopes are too expensive to afford now.
