If only you knew
The effort I made for you.
If only you knew
The sun and the moon
Were not always two.
If only you knew
How many flowers
I threw at you.
If only you knew
I had your back
That whole way
At that podunk casino
Back in Spanaway.
If only you knew
I was there
When the tears
Rolled down
Your daughter's cheek.
I watched you turn
Meek in return.
If only you knew
I carried you both through
That heartfelt burn.
If only you knew
My name, my place,
My existence at all.
But it hardly matters.
I'll always catch you
When you fall.

'TWAS THE NIGHT BEFORE
'Twas the night before Christmas
And all through the town
It was totally quiet
Not one little sound
The air was still and cold
Nothing moved below
Everything in town
Was covered in snow
Then out of the sky
Came a large group of Whozits
Bringing with them
A few thousand Dontdozits
They planned to steal
All the gifts in the town
So on Christmas morning
Not a gift would be found
Before that could happen
Along cameYouaintgonna
The hero of heroes
From Podunk, Arizona
Youaintgonna told the head Whozit
Put those gifts where they belong
You and the Dontdozits
Know stealing stuff is wrong
You can't take what ain't yours
So I'm sayin' you ain't gonna
'Cause I am the hero
From Podunk, Arizona
That's how I got my name
And you cannot abuse it
So you will have to leave
Along with the Dontdozits
Or you can stay and have some fun
When tomorrow rolls around
'Cause Whozits and Dontdozits
Are welcome in this town

In my mind there’s a funk
Does not mean that I’m sunk
If I drink then I’m drunk
Be as drunk as a skunk
Not so much that I stunk
Falling into my bunk
Never act like a punk
If I fail do I flunk
Hid away like a monk
Another myth to debunk
And sort through all the junk
Wipe up all of the gunk
My clothes have not shrunk
I’ve grown into a hunk
Full of vigor and *****
Keep your goods in a trunk
Store like a chipmunk
Oh my cake have a chunk
Or a cookie to dunk
What I wear is preshrunk
Did my engine just clunk
If I slink then I’ve slunk
Will I plink and then plunk
How did I get this punch-drunk
No I’m not from Podunk
