....is both dried berries and nut tree,
by the leafage, the sunlit the phizog,
oaks skirted the edifice's entree.
he never mentions his mother as unreal.
as I involve my mother, did he prevent her?
mawkishness -
spawned a popping sound,
What a foolish,
& semantic quibble.
mawkishness -
To defy reason,
& sanity.
m a w k i s h n e s s -
It's nearly dreadful,
in its evilness,
mind-bending,
in its hurdles.

My gorgeous sweet Bill Bulldog
There will never be another
So handsome was his visage
A phizog loved only by his mother
For some folks thought him ugly
And shied away in fear
Never gave a second glance
Never coming near
But first impressions can be wrong
For he was such a dear
A sweeter personality
I’ve never seen ~ I’ve never found
A British Bulldog’s only flaw
A stubborn streak, but nothing more
The worst thing Bill would ever do
He’d place his head upon my knee
And lovingly gazing up at me
He’d spy my legs were free from clothes
He really loved the taste of those
Lovingly licking down to my feet
To him this was the ultimate treat
So please I ask don’t ever judge
a book just by its cover
Open up your mind
And be surprised what you’ll discover
Unconditional love
from the sweetest breed I ever had
For each and every single time
I opened up my door
Bill was there to greet me
Sadly Bill is there no more

My Phizog
Strange what one remembers?
after looking through Playboy magazine and skipping
the dreary articles written by it founder
I came across this quote: “every man over forty is
reponsable for his own face.”
at the time when reading it I was thirty and was not
unduly worried, but now nearly 50 years later I recalled
the saying. I stood in front of the bathroom mirror, no
I didn’t look anything near forty, hair gone and sagging skin.
Face-lift? Out of the question I had no desire to look like
yesterday’s refry. I smiled, the face in the mirror too smiled,
two old mates accepting each other’s elderliness and I came
to the conclusion that I’m rather fond of my face.
