Parked Poems | Examples

Premium MemberThe Corner of Jim

I parked my car on the corner of Jim, and
am sitting here patiently waiting for him..
For thirty-seven years I was his wife.
Some things never change in this life.
I'm generally early.
He's chronically late, so I play the game
of hurry up and wait..
I parked my car on the corner of Jim, sit
patiently waiting, again and again...

Parked At the Mall

Busy shopping mall parking lots
Car doors opening and closing
Words flashing on digital billboards
A screech, a honk, some belligerent
Cursing bastard, a car alarm blaring
The noisy comings and goings
Of folks numb to the chaos
Rows upon rows of pollutants
Oil-stained pavement
Loose change on the dashboard
Keys left in the ignition
The engine still idling
Me, in the driver’s seat pondering it all

Car Parked Somewhere

Must be getting forgetful where did I park my car ?
Certainly wasn't here and I really hope it's not far
Was it in a car park or in a busy side street
Need to find it soon for I have aching feet

What am I like it was only three hours ago
Came into town despite the forecast of snow
Did my shopping as that was my intent
A coffee in Starbucks to which I also went

Then it hit me my car into town I didn't take
I caught the bus instead what a silly mistake
Got back home my car still on the driveway
Ready to be driven no doubt for another day

Premium MemberHollywood Cars

Hollywood Car
David J Walker

I am thinking of moving
To Hollywood
And living in my car
And leave it double-parked
Until I become a star
Though, at my age maybe
Not very practical and at
This stage of life
Not really adaptable to
The discomforts of a
Wanna be star
	Living in a car
So
I’m thinking of moving to
Hollywood but
Taking my truck
Thinking my F-150
Would bring me
Better luck
Then a parked car
Piling up parking tickets
Wanting to be a star

Premium MemberParked Looking At Passers By

Here I am seated quite comfortable
sun's shining making it perfect day
at peace with myself and the world
looking on seeing all come my way

This makes you wonder all their thoughts
especially if I dare make eye contact
may think I'm weird or even worse
if they be my boss I would be sacked

Looking at him with reddish jacket
seems bit bold but it's bright
that lady over there looks so dull
maybe had hard day not going right

These little boys definitely twins
wonder what tricks they do at home
now everyone's looking quite happy
doing what they do in Rome

So it's been real interesting day
watching all the world walk on by
people watching is rather cool
leaving this setting makes one cry

Not Parked - Abandoned

I
just
watched
someone trying
to park their car for
about ten minutes; I didn’t
see the driver, so I can’t
assume what
gender
she
is

Parked Behind the Waffle House, Doing Whippets

i killed myself
and got an eviction notice
he stuck it to
my coffin with a wad of
tangerine gum

my mind has become melted parsley,

my ears frozen cheese.

like old aunt ginny used to say

(lord jesus almighty

bless her heart

and soul and catheter)

'sometimes you drink the milk

and sometimes the milk

drinks you.'

Parked Car

Kissing in the dark
In my parking lot
Turning heads
Feeding each others ego
With a tryst
An enigmatic twist
I feel on fire whenever we touch
I feel at peace whenever you hold me
Wishing I could be with you
Needing you like a drug
I want to be loved by you
I want to be crazy in love with you
No matter the pain
I'm sure our love can endure
No matter the strain.

Parked

So much failed expectation
but you keep trying to make it better
I wish to be closer to you
I know I've got you hooked
and I've been feeling it too

We're people of so many faces
having so much to hide
but I'm not giving up hope just yet

I felt the protection
I felt the concern
I felt the needed attention

In time in time
I will see it come
I need to rest
for another day
and just let it come

Legally Parked

Intro...
1.Scotland has 20,000 methodone users-Double any country in Europe.
2.Our Government has spent 105 million pounds on it in 4 years !
3.After a 3 year programme only 3% of users ARE TOTALLY DRUG FREE.
4.Parking addicts on methadone is clearly not getting people off drugs.

Tommy"s parked on methadone, syringes all at sea.
This heroin substitute to make him drug free.
Saved from the gutter and no more petty crimes.
A body torn with needles, not like yours or like mine.

Drugs get the wrath and the public condemnation.
Now we"re spending money on his rehabilitation.
Our countries funds continue killing fellow man.
Its a costly failure,its a deathly plan.

Drug deaths happen all over this land.
Twenty thousand users, get our heads out of the sand.
We deal with the symptoms and not the real causes.
These poor wretched souls,we are poisoning their bodies.

One third of drugged corpses, contain that green curse.
From you and me given, from the public purse.
We have blood on our hands but its not too late.
Tommy"s still alive, what will be his fate?
