Lesbia Discussed Catullus' Poetry

I’m not some filthy ****
who calls your poems
a joke; I like them.
But here’s advice,
take it or ignore it:
You lard a poem with myths
that weigh it down; half
the young no longer know them.
In the next poem you introduce a talking door.
Do doors talk in Verona?
You use diminutives to excess,
little this and little that,
perhaps some little thing
is worrisome to you.
Virgil wrote of agriculture,
Lucretius physics,
you count our kisses –
a thousand, hundred, hundred thousand kisses kissed,
too many kisses to account for.
For you breezes are like overdrafts,
kisses coins, and lost investments
are like losing love.
You probably count the napkins after dinner.
As for metrics, I’m old fashioned,
prefer the epic beats and elegiac,
not the polymetrics and the tricky
new ones you employ.
You steal from Callimachus
and from Sappho too.
Worse of all you mix artifice and feeling.
It’s time you found a manly voice
to speak of love and pleasure as we know it, not from some book.

Rich Or Wealthy

So what are the Rule's ?

You wish to place place this wager on ?

And how is the Jury then to Judge ?

Your Bank Account
Your Real Estate
Your Stocks and Share's
Minks and Furs
Supercars , Jewel's and Gold

Versus

My 2nd Mortgage
10 year old Car
Overdrafts
And rising Credit Card Bills

Based on this alone I fear you win this wager
Hands down no contest

But what if we raised the stakes
To what we could actually
take with us to our grave

Like Friends and Family
Those we have blessed
Lives we had touched

I fear my Foe
The Currency in Death you shall seek
Will not be measured
In Money and Gold

But rather in Deed's and Actions
And whether or not you will be missed

Angel Tell Me About Humankind

Angel, tell me about humankind
Not a lie I expect to hear from you
Gift of mind urges me to die for truth
Ear that loves to hear and nurse lies
Lies and slumbers in the plain of lies

Tell me one truth from these rails of lies
Every man I hear, is a bundle of flesh
Lying mouth tells me man is a tree
Living and surviving on walls of the earth

Men of robes tell me humankind is spirit
Every action or inaction ruled by Super Spirit

Academicians and Scientists of all colors
Bang tables and shout saying man is an Ape
Overdrafts, blank checks dollar-men give me
Universe is for pleasure- dollar-men claim
Trillions of beads on abacus human life is

Humans are fallen angels in the universe
Under blind power, they act as rebels
Man is dust, came from mud, lives as wet dirt
Action driver is a dark power without him
Non-action driver is impotent power without him
Keeping man in glory is bright power without him
In other cases humankind is an empty suitcase
Nice looking, swollen with big issues yet
Dearest to him is lone survival instinct!

Your Day Will Come

“Your day will come “, I heard it today so clear.
An audible voice whispered in my ear.

Your day will come no more furniture to rent.
You can purchase what you want and pass along the cents.

Your day will come when the pantry will be full.
Eat what you want and still have plenty of room.

Your day will come no more overdrafts to pay.
Money will be left in the account from day to day.

Your day will come you will have a computer of your own.
No more waiting in line until you get your turn.

Your day will come and it won’t be very long.
When “all is well” will be the title of your new song.

Your Day Will Come…..

A Rhema Word from the Lord on this morning. The struggles will soon be over.
Hold on to God’s Unchanging Hand. He Sees…He Knows…The Day of
Deliverance is at the Door…
