Daddy look at this place
Mommy said it’s a disgrace
cos nothing’s in the right place
the floor’s an obstacle race
and my best book on space
isn’t in the book case
BUT my kid sister Grace
is lurking on the staircase
she’s got a grin on her face -
That smile I’d like to erase!
Daddy I can only assume
she’s been in my bedroom
As she can now reach the door
Daddy I’ve warned her before
One day there’s gonna be war!
Daddy just hear my plea
Please please give me a key
Then I can lock my sister out
And then mommy won’t shout…
At me!

got pigeon holed early in an obstacle race
called a fifties town culture and army base
[...nuns...ex colonels and sergeants for teachers...]
died many deaths but weathered the scars
mind can hold now what's as far as the stars
[...beyond the books...the preachers...]
arrived at a philosophy of fractal phenomenology
truth and what's true being more than mythology
[...got one foot in the abstract...the other's in this grave...]
this chain we call existence has a few restrictions
reality's construct base is inherent contradiction
[...walkin...need a cane now...watchin...the world slowin again...]
stan sand
Another bump in the road
Another dream dreamt
Another goal accomplished
Another goal set in motion
Life moves at its own pace
Everyone has there own taste
While searching for their place
With no worry for the haste
That clutters this obstacle race
Until their face to face
With GODS warm embrace
Another long day ahead
Another breath of fresh air
Another second of happiness
Another moment of love
Life comes with ups and downs
But making smiles from our frowns
Will help keep both feet on these shaky grounds
While we wait for the Lords trumpets to sound
That's when we'll know our place has been found

A person’s life is in varying shades of change.
However, at times the plans are not prearranged.
Sometimes our journey seems to have lots of mistakes,
Even when you know in life there are no retakes.
At times a life can get stuck in unfamiliar limbo,
With a heart so troubled, you don’t feel the wind blow.
At this crossroad, you have to get down on your knees and pray,
Because He is the only one that can show you the way.
When life does resemble a monotonous “groundhog day,”
You have to get off the treadmill, unless you plan to stay.
Thinking of someone besides yourself may help your disposition,
And might just promote renewed ambition.
Some people say that change is a good thing.
I wish we could know before what it would bring…
You have to trust God in whatever changes take place,
And He will be there for you in life’s obstacle race.
