These Good Night poems are examples of Night poems about Good. These are the best examples of Night Good poems written by international poets.

the night’s not over yet

It was written on your body
written in your soul

to keep them all laughing
keep their small minds whole

you painted over it
you take it as it is
living off a captured kiss

to keep the neat bow tied
inside on a friday evening
what is it achieving

I know you want the relief
I tell you the secret
so don't forget
the night’s not over yet

Where The Dead Go And Why It Matters

I ask not shadows whence they come,
Nor where their silent footfalls lead;
The grave is mute, the mouth is dumb,
Yet still it speaks, above the land.

The dead are writ in flesh and stone,
In echoes cast from ice to flame;
Their march is onward, not alone—
We follow, bearing blood and name.

They go where time has lost its teeth,
Beyond the crown, beyond the rod;
Their ashes drift in winds beneath,
Their spirits rise and rest in God.

It matters not what tombs proclaim,
Nor how the mourners bow and weep;
For in our veins survives their claim,
The dead still guard the lives we live.

So let me walk, though night is vast,
Unfearing, steadfast, to the last.

Emotional Buffet 2

I sat apart from life, too weary to live,
Even the breath I owed, I refused to give.

The curse of the world is rightful on me,
I thinned the trees, not the flowers to be.

In the end, the mind grows tired of love’s flame,
I made a firefly my partner in name.

Whatever the cause, it stands as a crime,
I drowned the swimmer in ocean’s prime.

You bartered away the hope of peace true,
And left the heart idle, absorbed in love’s hue.

Sleep Well, Mama

Mama, why is it that you can't sleep well?
What's keeping you up even though you're tired?
Your husband who watches television half the day,
Your adult child who is packing up and moving away,
Your young, hyperactive child who likes to play, play, play,
The ever present clutter all throughout the house,
You set up a trap but it has not yet caught that mouse...
Mama, give to the Lord all your cares
I wish you sweet dreams and no nightmares
Sleep well, Mama, sleep well soon...

Premium MemberJoyous, Thunderous Awakening

Delightful pulse of lightening and thunder,
These elements, energy empowered,
Evergreen sages transmute old wonder
With silver rain magically showered.

Lightening ignites sparkle in my wide eyes.
Thunder fills my mind with stark remembrance.
Energetic discord strikes undisguised.
Away flows eclectic dissonance!

My praise goes to sunlight in the morning!
My heart rises up to gleeful rapture!
My spirit glides high, dancing and soaring,
In Cosmic realms forever uncaptured!

Roses awaken when Earth greets Sunrise,
But Rose Crystals are cleansed under moonlight!

Air Sleep

A mattress of clouds
Fresh sheets of powder blue sky
Stardust filled pillows

May I return when nights come

May I return when nights come
And off the furious outside mind
And lit beams inside of some kinds

They sparkle calmness as seeds sprout
And shine as the moonlit torches the soul
I am sure of these moments of aliveness
As bright as the crystallized world of unseen

ln a sudden mode, hilarious could flow
Else, fade off tiredness irrational foes
Many times, I hate to mention this in poems
As hypocritical as some chinese trouble

Night of the James Taylor Concert during Freshman Year at College

My friend most beautiful
sat shoulder to shoulder with me
after the lights went low
and the show began.

We took in ballad after ballad
the tender voice hour after hour
and a spell was cast.

The song of Don’t Let Me Be Lonely Tonight
spoke to me— I could almost cry.

I glanced at her
and she looked straight ahead.

This was the night I wanted for months
although we had some casual dates

o the times when I pleaded for more

but tonight she was so tender
when I put my arm around her shoulder.

I knew the night was good for her
when we stepped out the elevator
onto her dormitory floor
and the music resonated in my mind.

The taste of her kiss was so sweet
on that special night.

She must have known
it was our last.

Sleep - a tricube

No worries,
no snoring,
only sleep;

A night shift,
none have I
just shut eye;

We can play
tomorrow,
rest for now.

Night life

My life, my night, is like a twilight. Stars in the sky, what a sight.
Laughter from all around, enjoying such a lovely night.
The sweetness of the candy and caramel apples as I bite.
I'm on a rollercoaster so high with screams in the air.
I enjoy the fun games of excitement as I walk around everywhere.
Smiles on kids' faces as they run around and everywhere.
I will never forget the carnival life as it was when I was young.

Night At the Necropolis

Night,
Ageless and porous,
Sang screeches of fireflies of
Crescendo-diminuendo sparks.
What hour?
In the midst of the hustles, I lost my hoursight
Different, tonight, is my eyesight, seeing even
Through the darkest foliage of gentle, but sinister
Caress sway.
On the broken, cracked slabs, squatting, dark torsos!
Pensive, broken, sad, old and so good the
Work of Italian sculptors.
Further deep in searching glare, the hardened
Mats of hurried sepultures of returning
Soldiers, whose wellingtons have squelched in
Mudblood.
Wars and battles never post blandishments
On peace.
What hour now, brother?
It is so dark and mean, and my hourglass refuses a
Moon reflection.
But now the hours move fast on march of the
Headless feet in wellingtons.
'Left, right, left, right....'
Dolts hasten among fleeing marabouts.
Stench from ailing, balmed smog
Stills the whiffs of roasting deer, all in
One silence of close hour canticles...
Such phalanx, brother, coldens the head.
