Dice black and white
Not looking for a fight
Lucky hands, grip tight
Wanting a winning sight
Put pair into flight
Fist raised, power, and might
Snake eyes say good night
the moon stares at me
ancient face pocked with craters
he loves my secrets
My heart, though silent, beats steadier, then
Love is written in this gentle voice
Cool winds, playing softly, a moment, when
Gentle thoughts offer no other choice
Singing a chorus of love that believes
My spirit soars to new heights, I can see
Beyond the music of the tree who grieves
Sweetest song, so rich and brave, wind can free
Secured by faith, the joy of love shines bright
Sweetest tones of hope drift over my life
While notes of peace rise from the sunny light
I feel the sway of music that heals worst strife
Thrown about by the dreadful winds of change
Like a leaf in the woods, whose fate feels strange
Night
It's night, BBC Radio is playing
Quiet time, good to live ín
But the fear in my heart
Gives warning
Coming the morning
How could time be stopped?
I want to stay here
This state is wonderful
I don't need sun anymore
Just live like this
Without the material world
This is pure life
With the sun on your face
And a shade in your smile
Won’t you come to my place
Have a rest for a while
Tell me your latest news
Through the sun and the rain
We’ve got nothing to lose
Almost nothing to gain
With the sun on your face
Like it was on that day
Come again to my place
Say whatever you may
I will listen in awe
I will kiss that sweet air
You will say goodnight love
I shall always take care..
Sweet potato pie
I am married to the soul
I live in sweet sin
Good night has fallen on day
The moon and stars have fallen prey
Clouds endorse have gathered in suede
Humanity and animals have gone to sleep
Spiritual vessels have fallen on their knees
Acknowledging Elohim in prayer...

written words by James Edward Lee Sr 2026
Time has faded
Into the edges of evening
Whispering unheard good nights
An anxious moon hovers
An owl’s eyes slowly focus
As bats leave the belfry
A light shines on a garden Buddha
In the hum of Summer’s darkness
Crickets tap out weather reports
A flash of heat lightning
Takes a snapshot
Of an unseen subject
A fox and a house cat
Play hide and seek
On a city street
As a Racoon struggles
With the complexity
Of a trash can lid
Midnight lovers
Bask in the beauty
Of a moonlight kiss
.
‘long hern
mine
slaaap buckle crumple
drop
The moon gazes with romantic pleasure
Upon a stimulating obsidian hue.
Whilst burning, a shooting star catapults
Through a boundless sky.
It's beautiful, picturesque,
Softly glowing against darkness.
It spins gracefully in luminous,
Resonant movement of life's dust.
Lost to an ebbing wave of silent cries,
Left breathless like a fluttering glint of pearls.
Savoring budding moments like there's no tomorrow;
Birds' hymns lull mine into weightless sleep.
As silence slowly drifts away
In a gentle cascade of release.
Let's stay for a little while
Just before we go
I am smiling to your smile
In the evening glow
I can’t get enough of our
Mutual entertainment
Just a quarter of an hour
Of the sweet derangement
Share with me, my darling
Just before we go
Beckoned by the sparkling
Through the clouds that grow
Just two drowsy people
Lost in loving fun
Two minds getting feeble
Are better than one
My faith is rewarded
With the face of thee
A message you recorded
Says good night to me..
Night time
shadows are still
the wind lies low in wait
waiting for a chance to whisper
good night
Before the moon disappears she kisses the waves with her moonbeams
the trees felt dead tonight, the air was hostile
I felt like something was going to snatch me up
there was a mist, it felt ominous and threatening
a werewolf slunk out of the tree line
He was angry looking with a frown that made the moon gasp
So, you just stood there? Guessed my friend
It would not have done me a bit of good to run.
Werewolves love chasing down their food.
So, you hid? She guessed.
I don’t remember, I admitted.
But it was the worst night of my life.
Until the spaceship picked me up and took me to the examination room.
Believe it or not, I give it my all
To live in a world that’s so senselessly flawed.
Where morale has little priority, and it's
importance so small.
It’s a sickness motivated by greed, it's power permanent and towering tall.
Held by the tail, unjustified tales, expectations,
accusations, and unaccountable fails;
All exhausted so they can rest well and prevail.
What changes could I possibly make, when freedom of speech is all just for sake, and with every good deed, they find a milestone to take?
Remoulding, rebuilding, and adapting for the survival of our sanity, and we endure in hopes of becoming a better humanity.
