WMNF

Poetry and song
Pour from you, slow
Like standing timber
That forests grow
In deep-wood groves

The seasons’ past
Are on your lips
In breezy notes
Which guide our steps,
Each foot we lift

Beneath the thaw
Of winter snows
In ageless rhythms
And timeless floes
Your story goes

It flows about us
As a song
The rivers sing
Of mountains strong
And valleys long

It moves within us
As a muse
Whose poetry
We ever choose
To delve into

We come to you
As verses do
That write the lyrics
To the songs
They fold into

When I Was Zipped and My Wings Were Clipped Said Nh 9

How I wished, free flow of wheels
No words to tell , "how it feels".
When vehicles swish
Well, well, well!
This is what I relish.

How I missed, the rumble and rush
Noisy Wide tyres! are my first crush
Fizzing of tyre
Well, well, well!
My Heart's on Fire.

How I mixed the soundtracks
Made by different crackerjacks
Brakes and clonks
Well, well, well!
Those frequent tonks.

How I loved those droning hums
Whinin' poppin' or screechin' ones
The drumming and hissing
Well, well, well!
Those wet roads n' tyres slipping.

How I longed to be awake
For me, there was no escape
Now back with all my might
Well, well, well!
Tales of travels we'll write.

Premium MemberMy Generation

Saturday nights I remember
  were bad in September
    even worse in November

On campus, roving mobs and gangs
looking for girls to get drunk and then bang

In dorms, wise fools dropping LSD
screaming, trying to deal with reality

Frat boys throwing furniture through window glass
Mooning, blowing farts, and lighting the gas...

College days: The 'best years of my life' these hardly were
~ On my generation and me, an ineradicable slur

        Just in case you're wondering:
        I attended Dartmouth College
in 'Hangover, NH' from 1968 -
        1972... 6 years later, 'Animal
        House' was filmed there, not
        surprisingly.

Premium MemberNature's Play

*Photo: Sky in NH

Clouds form swirls of golden light with gray
Decorating the sky with a backdrop of blue
The sunset is a start of a nature’s play
To entertain, with dancing light shining through

The warm breeze blows, touching my skin
While the tree branches wave around me
Trust within, that was once a sliver thin,
Now enhances, with the colors I see!

*Photo from NH

Just around the corner, lies opportunity, this day does bring;
Passing by the water, makes me want to sing
Slate colored cliff’s rise above me on this ride
Freedom reigns and my heart just wants to glide
With yet so much to do, there is so much to see
I try not to miss a minute of this opportunity!

Fall In Love

K dil ki gahrae se nikal k har dum ek khyal aata h
Band hoti h aankhe to srf usi ka chehra najar aata h
Janta hu k kismat mujhe use pane ka hak nh degi
Pr bina kurbani diye bhe to pyar me mja kha aata h
K dil ki gahrae se nikal k har dum ek khyal aata h

Poonam ka chand aasma me jab kbhi dikhae deta h
Lgta h jise kahi dur koi naraj hum se baitha h
Dil k samundar me jab dubne lgti h yado ki kasti
To ek yad uski jise jeena, kahi dur koi kinara dikhae deta h
K dil ki gahrae se nikal k har dum ek khyal aata h

The Story of Mr February

It was almost sundown
Early in February
When the wind blew the trees down
When the thunder in conjunction with the lighting seemed scary

But up in the sky
Mr. Blue looked down with a smile
When the Sun had to say goodbye
And the weather all over the town shared the same style

Down in the ghetto
Critical conditions were experienced
Poor houses were defeated, together with young stores
And it brought merciful conditions with high expenses

While around the city
The weather seemed to be curious and deliciously
When the thieves became stronger and high in velocity
And the weather results brought Miseries and a concern of Brutality

When that happens … It’s a sign that Mr. February is Back !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Romney In Nh

if when mitty looked out into the crowd &
told us all sitting at home
that “he likes being able to fire people,”
you smiled or
clapped,
or clapped & smiled,
then you have probably never been fired from a job---
you have certainly never been “let go,”
or as they say in manager-speak,
“no longer with us.”

when what he said rang home to you,
what exactly did you feel?
did you say to yourself,
“hoorah, now we will finally have a country
that is run like a corporation & here is the CEO who will do
the job?”
did you think that finally a man has come along who will wash
the liberals out of washington---
one who will finally kick out all those who whine because they
can’t make the grade
in this wonderful capitalist free market economy of ours?

are you sick of people who say that they can’t find jobs
when really, you think they just don’t want those that are available?
ya think that mitty represents you, the honest, hardworking, american
citizen?

exactly how long have you lived here &
what positive outcome can such tyrannical assertions
produce?

Comeback Kid

What a comeback!
winning by a mile,
now you can smile.

You keep it up, lady,
N.H. was your stage,
stay right on message!
