infidelity scars on the mental
stop sign eyes healed by a special deluge
smile so brave while feeding the homeless at the soup kitchen
not knowing how you are inspiring
slightly cut via the aggression of taking off your wedding band
neosporin band aid on 'slide mode' due to numerous hand washes
almost healed eye with an unyielding radiance in a state of defiant refusal
not knowing how you are an unbeknownst influencer
swollen upper lip in its later stages if ice therapy
knuckle scratches with dried up crunchy blood
lightly limping but still walking tall and kissing me with passionate pride
Knowing Now That You Are Truly Loved.....
Carcinoma, melanoma sick twins
Inside their innocuous hosts grin
For surface tension brings no chagrin
Another, common diagnosis will time lend
Healthy cell structures to amend
Immune systems with guile befriend
In state of denial, journey begins
Signs not to the human eye hidden
But worry has healthy mind forbidden
Asbestos, carbon dioxide, dioxin
Immune filters will certainly fend
Smoking, over eating, years of gin
Only near life's end wages will append
Per chance through pore seeps pathogen
To rally antibody troops always an antigen
Discolored figment under skin
Bright pigment from allergen
A red rash can dry with benzine
Yellowish splotch need carotene
Brownish bump harmless toxin
Black mole surely genetic origin
Benign cyst lacking needed vitamin
Purplish lesion can cure with Neosporin
Small lump only a gland that's swollen
Goiter rarely takes malignant spin
I love you, Lilith,
but I tire of your uppity manner.
You can leave me whenever you want,
and I'll just grow another beauty from one of my ribs.
I think I'll keep you around for a while though.
No, you're not being too rough on me in our private congress.
Neosporin is cheap my lover.
The safety word is Amen
