No greasy treats from chippie van;
I have my starch now au, gratin
with blasted, deconstructed bass,
petits pois, served; in Demi tasse.
No pint of best down at the pub
I drink with chums now at the club;
Prosecco, or a Chardonay
depending on the time of day.
No picking up the kids from school;
done by Au pair now; as a rule;
she turns up in our four by four
dressed top to toe in old Dior
No visits to the Home Depot
I have ten craftsmen now in tow;
who add things at my beck and call
to my enormous stately hall.
No need to visit family;
They all now want to come see me,
drink all my wine, then use the pool;
methinks they take me for some fool!
There's nothing left that I can buy;
so why, you ask, that big old sigh?
I have new friends, but here's the rub;
I miss my mates down at the pub.
Yes, being rich is such a bore!

We cannot worry over-much,
'Bout things we can't control.
Too much worry disrupts life,
And at length rots the soul.
Worrying 'bout this and that,
Can spoil your whole demeanor,
Causing you to disdain,
What makes your pastures greener.
Reality of fact is that,
Life has it's ups and downs.
Stomp and snort all that you please,
And growl and glance around,
To find someone to blame it on,
Although no one's to blame.
Sometimes things happen, this is true,
And it's to no one's shame.
Often we avoid some things,
But sometimes we just can't.
If we could go through life unscathed,
We'd be some kind of plant,
That simply sits, says not a word,
And never does a thing;
So learn to take life as it comes,
Relax and learn to sing;
For worry never solved a thing,
In fact it gives you ulcers,\
And makes you old before your time,
So relax, gain some culture.
Learn to control your inner chi,
Your yen and then your yang;
Because worrying all the time,
Won't gain you one dang thang.

One thing in this world that's hard to manage. Is knowing you have the honor of having someone else's heart and not taking it for granted.
Blessed with a blessing all the while testing.
Your humility, unconquerable by humanity.
Enough to drive one to insanity.
The road to do bad is such a short distance.
But the road to do good requires a lot of fitness; Strength and mental toughness.
That long rocky road to greatness is relentless.
So many aim to achieve hierarchy for glamour among the population.
Few realize that true fortune comes from internal illumination.
The realization that you shine when the black is pitched.
Same thing that one who gave you love could see.
And once defined these feelings could not be ditched.
The pressure to maintain that love is a twenty four hour job.
But the payment is enticing.
Magical enough to make your hate for love disappear.

I could count myself lucky
Every time I ventured out
For on the tray were plenty
To eat, to drink, to wonder
Just how did she do this?
But then I remembered
Days and nights in times
Gone by or un-memorized
The pangs of savage hunger
The days and nights of rage
Are those days truly gone?
Are the days of plenty come?
Will this new feeling last?
I will dash to mama again
And ask her if this is for real!
