So we’re punished and estranged
Would it make us better?
So how sweet was the revenge
Does it really matter?
It’s like noting white on white
Maybe green on green
When you come, I dim the light
Blinded by the screen
As the evening soars my eyes
I calm down a bit
Thinking it’s the useful lies
Naked truth can’t fit
It’s like permanent repair
Of a thing unfixable
It’s unfair, but we didn’t care
Everything is mixable
So we turn out quite the same
As we were last night
Only now there is no frame
But just white on white.
Poetry Soup’s like family
A poetry home for us to be.
We write, we post, wait for review
One never knows it could be you.
Writers from all around the globe
Send out their words like tele-probe.
Our different styles make us unique
perhaps it’s yours that we may seek.
Some write with rhyme and syllable
while other free style mixable.
No matter what, you’re welcome here
For months on end, year after year
We learn, we share make friendships too
Support each other yes, we do.
Put out our work, that is our quest
May even enter a contest.
Win, lose, or draw, don’t matter much
As long as we all keep in touch.
May gain some fans along the way
Who like our work and what we say.
So, if you’re ever in real doubt
Just send a message, we’ll help out.
Yes, folks I’m glad I found this site
Where I can be myself and write.
