Mindedness Poems

Premium MemberMental Slippage

Echoes, thoughts thrown off-course
illusive as in "vision blurring"...
ennui, with nothing to reinforce
imagery. Silence disturbed by purring,
odd admixture of buzzing and whirring.

NOTHING MISSING, NOTHING BROKEN

NOTHING MISSING, NOTHING BROKEN
With your head, roll out drums,
Mighty trumpets in their stead,
And like Eagles soar higher in the sky,
The skies of your mind,

Do not crumble on vain things,
And do not hijack your fights_
From within.....
Never you nurse or nature,
Thoughts of negatives
But like the lion, swim in positives
For the whole essence of life,
Is synonymous to dire softness.

For the Knower squeezes,
The oozing chant in her hue,
While the plangent solo dies
The strange strength of a fish,
Lies in its tender thoughts.

Make your thoughts tender,
For all is but a staged drama,
And sooner, we may leave.

As I tender to you
This tender foliage wand;
Undress these emotions,
Negative tongues waxing
In a pillock of confusion...

So, let’s zhuzh up our thoughts,
In this torrid and bogart spheres;
As I reverberate yet again,
Nothing missing, nothing broken.

Finally, I wave you all, shalom!

Mono-Mindedness

Imagine a pie chart
Through the middle a line
One half is your view
The other is mine

Now imagine a pie chart
All the views of mankind
Some see a small slither
Same approach everytime

appearing knowing and smart
They Self justify or deny
Never wrong and excusable
They're living a lie

Terrified insecurity
Lives deep down inside
If their flaws are seen
humiliation they'll die

These people never change
You have to leave them behind
If you don't you'll suffer more
Hurting you for their pride

Menace intends to mow
         Ruthless slices stem renegades
         Remnants flap erratic,
         Resilience remains unafraid

          Virtuous dispose overgrown
          Scorn of manicurist imbalanced
          Courage operates alone
          Realisation spurred by challenge

         City's mesh messiness
         Accepts intended bedlam mosaic change
         Faceted shadow corners glint
         Light slides, vertical snake rearrange

          Cult harbingers cut opposers
          Whip and snip straight edges
          Goaded by nurtured clones
          Rebel dispels lectures

         Scope stacks psyches intermingled
         Hand clasp members hope
         Allegiance tucks members beneath wing
         Anonymous chase, utopia

Premium MemberOne Book One Mind

A book is just a book unless it’s opened…
’til then we know not on what adventure it will take us.
Will it make us laugh…
or cry…
or shudder with emotion?
Will it reach into our souls…
Will it awake us?

There is one truth about a book that I can offer,
one certainty…
one fact I now propose:
a book has no capacity to stir our imagination…
no power to inspire…
when it is closed.

A mind is just a mind unless it’s opened…
‘till then we know not on what adventure it will take us.
Will it show us how to love
to hope…
to dream?
Will it reach into our heart
Will it awake us?

There is one truth about a mind that I can offer,
one certainty…one fact I now propose…
a mind has no capacity for compassion
no power to inspire…
when it is closed.

Premium MemberHave You Met the New Girl

Have you met the new girl?
I admitted that I had not.
She is nuts.
Aha. Suddenly I pay more attention.

Have you met Sheila?
Not yet.
She wears crazy stuff, and she talks weird. She does not fit in here at all.
My dendrites start to go wild, wondering now, if two people can be right?

I go into my third grade classroom and look around.
Disappointed, because I do not see a new girl at all.
I was sick yesterday, which means I missed Sheila’s first day.
Apparently she is in another room today, learning how we should all behave.

When she finally enters the room there is a commotion, so I look up from the
Book I am sneak-reading inside my desk.
Sheila is fabulous! She has bright red hair, and more freckles than me.
She is wearing a lavender and orange scarf wrapped around her head.

I notice other girls are acting snotty already, noses in the air.
She alienated most of them yesterday.
I trip her as she walks by. She catches herself, and smiles at me.
My new best friend has arrived!

Self-Delusionment of Open-Mindedness

Hidden safe in my cozy shell, there is nothing to fear.
The world calls with it’s voice of adventure in the music of waves on sand and laughing
voices
I peek out, but
I am so timid, vulnerable, fragile--
Too scared of being poked and prodded
	burned and bustled—and so
Retreat into my barricade,
Held hostage by familiarity.

Green Mindedness

-Green MIndedness-
Being naughty starts the teasing..

Sexy thoughts or dirty talking..

Hottest words of horny feeling..

Temperature of the body is rising..

In the bed or in the bathroom..

Half-naked, the beginning of doom..

Full of sweat, controlling the hands..

Til' to the most sensitive part ,it lands..

Wild imaginations lead to action..

Can't stop without satisfaction..

The mind is so free..

The palm is the guide to victory..

For how many rounds lasted..

Aroused, energized or exhausted.

Dream was over back to realitu..

Now ashamed & guilty..

Though almost wanted to make the offense..

So afraid to face the consequence..
