Branch made the ax head float
Restored to use, so take note
Elisha's branch points to Him
Branch, the metonymic prelim
A limb grew out of Jesse's root
Beginning as a tender shoot
The shepherd boy became a king
An Ideal Savior - his offspring
David's line in disarray
Branch is born Christmas Day
The Davidic promise found in Him
To save His people from their sin
Repulsive to the natural man
Branch fulfills His Father's plan
Peter and Branch walking on the sea
Reveals the metonymic finale
Raised from the dead to return as King
Branch will accomplish everything
Universal and immensely overwhelming
"Yahweh our righteousness" is coming
Look to Branch in faith to restore
Spiritual refinement and so much more
Cleansed from sin and serving Him
We will share His metonym:
"I am the vine, you are the branches..."

THE DEVIL dreads THE INTROVERT
A metonym
of metonymy,
Introvertishly
devilish.
Never gets
word famish,
eruption of moods
heated-up in solitary;
Sudden upheaval
wrecks a show.
Even
Devil quivers,
Pampering
the introvert,
Mute saturation
of ambiance, even
Silence shivers;
Seismic shift...
Outspoken
quietness,
Sullenly silent,
Words token,
somberly sulking.
Raise a dust,
strike our pulse...
what's the fuss?
Carnival of fear,
confusion 'ere there,
Word economy
is his human anatomy.

Off the market I dashed
In search of ingredients
To soup my poetry.
To all kiosk and stall I went
Yet I find none of it.
Fagged out on my fro home
Lost in thought of how
To soup my poetry.
There I stumbled on it
Ingredients of my soup.
On my way I paused
For the first stanza
My thinking personified
With a poetic licence.
I smiled with an imagery of simile
All over me was a pun of metaphor.
Only in consonance with an
Hyperbole of alliteration.
Paradox became my ordeal
With an echo of onomatopoeia
Still in an irony of oxymoron
Dancing with a metonym.
I got home with more
Ingredients from my mind
Then and there, I began to
Soup my poetry in poetrysoup.
