Saxophone & sipping cabernet,
toe tapping,
writing away
dancing within dream,
head bobbing.
O those French mots
j’aime. Sax O!
Relax O, merci beaucoup!

Premium MemberIt Is My Birthday, Merci Maman

and so it is, I think of you
like roses from heaven
filled with morning dew

a solid link we shared
like a home built for two
mother I'm missing you ....

no candles on my cake today
just a walk through memory lane
and a love I cannot claim

upon the breath of dawn
the kiss of morning arrives
on the bossom of my thoughts

of a mother and a daughter,
Mother, you gave me birth
Merci Maman, xo xo

Merci, Mercy

Merci, God's mercy
For forgiving my many
Trespasses and hardships (of oh so many)

Merci, God's mercy
For Your everlasting love
Your Agape Love (is from on High)

Merci, God's mercy
For your graceful miracles
That brings me huge hope (doubtless and free)

Merci

forgetting how
to do this
i wake everyday
with a tabula rasa
an amnesia of how
to kiss

my lips since
have dried
and cracked
but dreams
are truer than
life's fiction

no need
for lipstick
and you can
curl your tongue
don't wake me just
remind me what to do

Merci

Your life changed with the news of me coming
Tears rolled down and your eyes must be shinning
From seeing me grow to letting me go
You've done more things than I would ever know

You took care of every little thing
Held me tight when I was on the swing
Dressed me well with pretty bows
And loved me knowing all my highs and lows

I remember what you always taught me
The way you brought me
I believed you need me more than I do
But I realised I can be wrong too

You know I'm worthy
Calm down and not to worry
With the hope of a miracle
I went at the top of my castle

We all have our destiny
And I know you are there to catch me
I've never seen something so precious
Something so gracious
That nobody can separate us

I won't let anybody's evil eye be on you
I know you love me like no one else will ever do
So before you make another sacrifice
I just want to make sure you know I owe you my life!!!

Villanelle: Who will dare not love La Belle Dame sans Merci

Who will dare not love La Belle Dame sans Merci
Will she now dare budge from her perch in the clouds
No Knight-at-Arms her wiles entice sans souci

No belle dis-haunches curves just for a merci
Nor no beau fealty vows when she unfolds
Who will dare not love La Belle Dame sans Merci

La Belle Dame knows best why knights to grot go see
Best to keep armour on lest hell-met visor scalds
No Knight-at-Arms her wiles entice sans souci

Do knights her eyes gaze when they rout her easy
Nor think of fellow knights in arms she enfolds
Who will dare not love La Belle Dame sans Merci

Quaff not her cheap cheer unless from Holy See
Lulled not be by tales of woe laid by knights’ holds
No Knight-at-Arms her wiles entice sans souci

Serves whom right to fall in love with Heresy
No true love sits on throne when knights be cuckolds
Who will dare not love La Belle Dame sans Merci
No Knight-at-Arms her wiles entice sans souci

Merci Dieu

On n’a jamais assez
Remercier
Dieu de nous avoir créé
Et de nous donner le droit d’aimer

Sans lui
On ne serait pas ici
On serait une poussière dans l’air
Ou une étoile dans l’univers

Merci Dieu
Tu es mon ami pour la vie
Car sans toi
Je n’aurais jamais rencontré ce gars
Je te remercie pour ca

Merci

Words shy away.
Emotions taunting me.
Heart is overwhelmed,
Stifling my pain
Just doodled, thoughts.
Feels good, yes.

Thanks for the win.
It’s not just mine.
Ours for poems.
World needs more,
Not just poems.
Much is unsaid.

Saved in my notes
My delirious mind
Hurt felt for others
empathy penned
My one and only friend,
my secrets divulged.
Posted my doodling
her pleasure, I did not deny.

Response, was warm and nice.
Even now cannot comprehend.
I woke, from my slumber,
doodling more and more.
Life goes on day after day
Cannot stop my passion’s spate

Thanks to the sponsor,
they really motivates self.
Winners all, till we stop to pen.
Thanks to poetrysoup,
For lending its stage.

Merci, Johnny O!

Hey Johnny O,
With your true Little Mercy
Set our student hearts dreaming
Of living in and serving
Dusty old villages
Not worthy of mention in the papers
With parched land or pretty green.

But then, Johnny O
Little did you and Mercy know
One day such damning blood will flow
When you are living in and serving
In your little village
Not knowing if the hospital jeep can go
To see your patients, who are waiting.

You know Johnny O
We almost followed your mercy tracks
But just in time did step back
From dusty old villages
For I can't quite guess from these papers
What I'd have done, with all that's happening.

I might have ended up
Like you and Mercy in a village scene
Not knowing if today or tomorrow the mob will come visiting
Or perhaps like your friend Binayak
In a stone cold cell, alone be sleeping.
Just in time, I stepped back
Just in time, to be safe and secure
Just in time, so my kids can go to a good school
Just in time, to take in a movie or two
Just in time, to relish rava-dosai, pop some corn,
These to you just don't belong
Just in time, saved my skin
But Merci, Johnny O
For taking my place there...
