Gossip Train Toot Toot

If you look for
ugly
You'll See it

If you stare
 too long
You'll be it

When we
Speak without thinking
to tickle the ear

There is something
to ponder
So as to see clear

When we talk
Just
to disrepute

A manslayer
We become
Killing a reputation
It is mean spirited fun

Just imagine should
The tables turn
And you be the one on the block

being happily sliced and
Diced about
After throwing the very first rock

Being righteous over much
doesn't aid
One righteous to be

Remember but for
The grace of God
goes walking you and me

now my old house
Ain't made of glass
But I'll try to keep this in mind

When slinging,and flinging
around words that I
Choose the ones that are kind

Cities of Refuge

Wall to Wall a rich texture of beige and ivory
Door to Door the throat closing color of unripe green
Floors heavy metal wielding concrete from block to block
From the phosphorescent radio signal sifting cell light
To the argument compounding wall mounted flat screens
This place is just as much a safe haven
As it is the ticking of a time bomb clock

Blind to Jehovah's compassion we beg for peace
Within ourselves and for others we beg for prompt freedom
Released are our inhibitions toward what is right
As we selfishly and over zealously claim torn
Like the minds the bodies and the hearts of a lost fight

A maundering tumble weed aimlessly searching thoughts
We are while listening to another grown man cry
Hoping hope will lead us away from that state of farce

From Ramoth-Gilead to Tabor City in one night
From safety to new circumstances still God's mercy
As residence for the unintentional manslayer
Becomes a new home for criminals of every sort
There is a large percentage of those that wouldn't dare
Thank God for this place this time or for His active force...
and still there are those that do...thank you...YHWH

Integrity of Job

Can you imagine how faithful Job was?
He didn’t know why he was tested, because
He was totally ignorant of Satan’s insistence.
This manslayer could harm him even at a distance.

This rebellious angel wanted to believe,
That if he robbed Job, God he would leave.
Then, as he kept faithful even though all was gone,
The devil stole his health, to see if he’d go on.

As if that weren’t enough, ---what insult!
His so-called friends said he was at fault.
In all his distresses, Job did not give up.
His integrity was proven beyond a shadow of a doubt.

After a time, for his friends he implored,
Then God gave him more than he had before.
Today, Satan’s tactics still haven’t changed,
Hence in God’s love, we strive to remain.

Just a little while longer and our Savior will judge,
Removing the haughty and evil from us.
The meek will then take possession of the earth
And blessings will abound forever more.

(book of Job) (James 5:11)
