Mother Said

My Mother said you need to read
more than Comic books.
I know I’m not the only one.
Some of everything that I read
from my childhood to adult
has been made into movies.
Like Hollywood had nothing better to do
then to follow me around,
every time I Pick up a book.
Someone made a phone call.
What is he reading?
The Avenger’s X-men and Dr. Strange.
My Mother who was an English Major,
said Bobby since you hate English in school,
you'll probably end up being a poet.
But you need to read more than Comic books.

In 1968 I was in the 5th grade
at public school No. 6
when my teacher Mr. Gamble read
the Lord of the Rings to the class.
I surprised my mother
When she caught me reading the Hobbit.
Grow up and I joined the Army,
got sent overseas on hardship tour.
Pulling guard duty, I had a lot time on my hands.
So, I read the books of Tom Clancy.
Hollywood found my reading list.
Hunt for the Red October,
Clear and Present Danger
Patriot Games.
Everything that I read from childhood
to adult has been made into movies.
But I’ve also read books on sensual massage,
And you should know,
they are X-rated movies.

X - Men

They are a group of people with special powers,
They are a class of people with unique abilities,
Males and females with human frailties,
They are united in their pursuits.

Called to be defenders,
They stand against their contenders,
Who are unrelenting in staging their rage,
Putting the non-mutants into their cage.

They are a formidable team
Their unique powers beam
into every dark alley and sinister trail,
To expose every villain without fail.

A group founded by one man,
With a vision to teach and train every mutant,
To be justice and peace pursuant,
And to be a force for good.

X-Men '97

You took another breath, so i took another risk
Your lips mouthed the words, I could not hear
"Do not go over there, young one"
But I couldn't survive without danger
And neither can you

The strange figure appeared in the dead of night, opposing me
Words emitted from their very essence, way too loud to understand
They smiled. I finally felt understood.

Yet, as much as they understood me, I wish I never learnt to understand them too.
And the words too loud became way too quiet,
And the picture too small became way too big,
And the feelings too different became ... Normal?

Life would be different from now on.

Stranger things beacon
 these young teen agers
when a bald-headed
professor
saw them individually-telekelically

a girl a Marvel girl
she could perform miracles
can read minds nothing can be hidden
from this red head beauty

next,...

a cool tween miss guided a little mean
pick on lonely so he spend his youth
frozen, he couldn't be nice
so he was iced, a Iceman

next...

kinda athletic
sort of pathetic
funny somewhat elongated big hands
big feet
Hank the hairy Beast

next...

a hot head or should I say
He has an EYE
for destruction he had better not look at ya
Cyclops

next last but not endangered
Rich boy at least his parents are
His name he goes by is Angel
The wings on his back, shedding sometimes feathers in his lap

These teens are strange yes
Gathered together being trained in the DANGER ROOM by
Professor X
mutants in kind
Beyond humans my oh my

Let me tell you a story ...

The story of Wolverine is so vast that I would need much more space,
     though, I will tell you what I have gathered about this man;
he was born in Alberta, Canada in 1832 and named James Howlett,
but, he is really a fictional character of Marvel Comics.

Marvel created a mutant human with superior animal-keen senses,
      enhanced physical capabilities and healing regeneration;
and three huge retractable claws and each hand- a ferocious force,
though, he had a brooding nature ... a loner with a temper.

He was born to rich farmers but found out his mother had an affair,
      and he was the result-   he kills his father and runs away;
ending up mining in the Yukon and changes his name to Logan,
he accidently kills his girlfriend and flees to the wilderness.

There he lives with wolves until he is captured and put in a circus,
      he escapes and lives with the Blackfoot people of Canada;
in time, joining the military- held captive and experimented on,
becoming an agent trained by the Canadian government.

But he is unstable, his past murky, and he is difficult to control,
      he appears in countless comics, either solo, or with X Men;
X Force, Alpha Flight, Fantastic Four, Avengers and many more,
sadly, he does die from suffocation by a horrible potion.

The potion is a hardening adamantion created by a Dr. Cornellius
      Wolverine, Logan, James Howlett dies-   kneeling in the sunset;
unknown to him he has a son that he never knew existed,
the son, becomes the new Wolverine of the Ultimate Universe.

Of course, comics tend to change the story ...

The Storm of the Sea

A giant storm is brewing
Because the wind is howling with the sharpness of the cold
Calculating blades of the great and weak
Destroyers and defenders of oppositional forces
Encapsulating one another in a great deal that starts to die in the great
Fire which burns brightly into the night prior to the people
Gorging their bellies full of drink and food while
Having the storm outside howl with loudness and
Intense beats upon the house of the leader, who we call the
Jarl, that gathers their people in the great hall to keep them safe from the
Killing storm outside of the great house, their concern of
Love is the purest form of respect
Manifesting into something
New and not confusing as it is an
Original concept that needs no
Proper introduction because it is the only
Quick explanation for
Righteousness
Self-less service
Tactfulness and a deep
Understanding, that would shock a person in the manner of a larger
Voltage
Wishing to only become part of a unit that does not
Wallow in the misery of others as the current
X-men focus on becoming different members of the world

Premium Member Hellfire Gala - My Passion

My passion is the X-Men: Hellfire Gala, The Red Carpet Collection.

This is a collection of cross-over comics celebrating the Hellfire Gala.

The Hellfire Gala is a yearly party where mutants and humans gather in celebration.

There are fourteen stories collected each relative to the Gala.

There's settling of Mars, Fireworks, a murder mystery (Scarlet Witch) and even party crashing (Deadpool).

Captain America even has a chat with Doctor Doom!

Namor tried to be influenced to join the Quiet Council and many other exciting dialogs occurred.

What a great book to own and cherish with so much excitement!
