Mahatma Ghandi

I saw the top twirl
As he whispered over again to the crowd,
“You must be the change you wish to see in the world”
I breathed in his air as he did the same to me.
I could feel his presence,
His pressure
And yet he had no name.
He was homeless, he was free.
His speech ran through my bones
As he injected me with,
“Where do we belong in this world?
What are our hopes and dreams?
Are we glad to be alive?
Have we seen this world?
Have we explored it inside and out?
Have we discovered something we know nothing about?
Have we made a difference?
Have we made a change?
See this world spins around like this top in my hand
And I am surrounded by hims and hers.
The lights that make this world glow,
brightens our knowledge
And decides what we know.
This world is made up of scientists poets and theorists,
Writers, musicians,
Engineers and lyricists.
That is not a dream,
This is a part of reality.
The King had a dream, he wrote his own speech.
And Mrs. Parks was a black women and didn’t move from her seat.
Margaret Thatcher First woman Prime Minister in Britain.
Obama First black Leader in U.S.A.
They all made the change that effects us today.
But is it enough?
Like this top that twirls,
“You must be the change you wish to see in the world”
Take in this pressure,
It’s the world you’re after.
The decisions,
The chances you take,
Makes you…
Or causes disaster.
Like a hurricane or a typhoon
Maybe a tornado or a monsoon.
Punishment is natural and the effects are crucial
But what can you do to contribute to
To change…
The child that cries at night with no mother.
The prostitute that runs the street with every other brother.
The girls.. Date Rape.
The homosexual beat on because he’s not straight.
HIV and sexually transmitted diseases.
Things happening because of our reasons.
We blame it on each other and who’s pointing at me
We put the blame on everyone else except the person we see.
So this world is just like this top the twirls
“You must be the change you wish to see in the world”.
As I walked off I recaptured my thoughts
And loosened my brain.
I felt a change go through my mind
And my body was sore
I knew I must be the change I wish to see in the world.

Premium Member Elves of the Reaper

I awoke this morning
To a brand new day
The sun was shining
Neighbourhood children played

Then i heard on the news
That made my hair stand on end
The Reapers elves
To our world they descend

Dressed in black
These creatures of death
To take earths life
It's very last breath

With them he marches
Dictating who dies
Enrolling the weak
As he casts his eyes

First Toronto and Buffalo
Near these beautiful falls
Cities, towns and villages
In darken deathly maul

They reach Albany
Near route 87
Many people are praying
As they look towards heaven

They are now in their thousands
As they walk with the dead
The discarded are left
In bloodied stained shreds

Our countries are in cry
For a saviour so strong
To turn this dark evil to right
Cast them out, to where they came from

Semaj is summoned
Once again
From his Kingdom in the Highlands
Master of, the Mountains and Glens

With Etto his droid
New York they reach
To call up the followers
In world wide preach

He summons the Knights
And hero's of old
To rise for the right
And join his fold

In Churches and Cathedrals
All throughout our nations
Burial vaults are opening
Civilisations salvation

Even the gargoyles
Leave their resting places
To join the fold
Their faces now grace us

To the North of New York
The old and the new stand
To rid this evil
From our righteous free lands

The Reaper cries
Hell is for hero's
As King Richard replies
Hell is for zero's

Both armies clash
In bloodied spoil
But there's no spill of red
On this free countries soil

Where all around
Lie fallen elves
The Reaper on his knees
For this is where he fell

Semaj stands over
This evil of the dark
With his claymore he strikes
We are now worlds apart

The clean up begins
As they are gathered en-mass
With the divine waters
This evil has passed

The very next day
All the old hero's have returned
To their place of rest
For on this day they have earned

Nations stood together
To fight all evil, as one
The corner has been turned
A new world has begun

9/11, 2001
Tuesday morning when it all began
Four Jet Airliners
Hi-jacked at will
To fly their mission
To kill, blood spill

Target chosen
New York City
No questions asked
No pity

Internal flight
Laid-en with fuel
Turned off course
To the Hi-jackers rule
Islamist, al-Qaeda is the name they claim
What honest faith
Would want this fame
To take these lives on this September day
It's not what religion should portray

Nineteen jackers, whats on their minds
To do their deed on their own mankind
No scriptures, books of the olden day
Would let any brother, be slain this way
What battle would be, without seeing your killers eyes
This nineteen, the world despise

Our modern world on camera caught
Jet Airliners flying the next so fraught
North Tower hit by flight 11
Then the South by flight 175
All aboard the planes, would not survive
Many compatriots would also die.
To this day i wonder why?

CNN and TV crew's
Capture, man's cruelty to man
It makes you spew
The cowards that commandeered these planes
Are not religious, plainly insane

To be on the ground and look above
Two Manhattan giants
New Yorkers grew to love
Taken down by evil beings
They can't believe what they are seeing

Two explosions in just under an hour
Office life is about to shower
Paper and life fall to the ground
Silenced grief makes no sound
To New York City, that never sleeps
In a state of mourning that will presently weep

We hear on the news, Washington's been hit
The Pentagon, yea that's it
One of the four, also has it's say
On this dark September day

In Pennsylvania
The fourth still in flight
Passengers on board
Try with all their might
Overcome the scum
Who hi-jacked their plane
The next hour would never be the same

Somerset County is where she fell
These brave civilians,
As calls will tell
To try and claim the plane that's theirs
So suppress those infidel curs>

It Takes Two To Make a Tear

It takes two to make a tear

It’s Christmastime so no more killing now!
Let’s get together, sing some carols here.
In no man’s land, we’re brothers for today.
A merry Christmas, season’s greetings, mate.
Und frohliche weihnachten to you, my friend.
Oh, stille nacht, holy night: a lovely sound.

I’ll trade some brandy for your schnapps, old mate.
Und bratwurst for your bully beef, my friend!
It’s nice to know you, as we’re friendly now.
I wish that you could meet my folk today.
Your German language is a pleasant sound.
Und Englisch klingt gut, now it’s spoken here.

It’s good when laughter is the only sound!
A cigarette? Und zigarette, my friend?
It’s good to smoke it either way right now.
I’d take you home to meet my folks, so here’s
A photo of my wife and children, mate.
I wish that I could be with them today.

We’ll have a game of football, Max, my mate:
A Christmas friendly five a side today!
Ah, football das ist gut, my friend.
And only friendly rivalry from now.
With Cheers, instead of cries: such happy sounds!
And No Man’s land’s a perfect pitch right here.

I wish I had some gifts to offer here.
Oh, what I wouldn’t give for hankies now.
Let’s sing again; it’s such a jolly sound.
It’s snowing; friendship keeps us warm today.
You’re welcome to mein mantel, Bob, my friend.
I never thought I’d wear your coat, Max, mate.

The world is now a better place today.
I think we’ll stay gute freunde, do you, my friend?
Of course we’ll be good pals from now on, mate.
I couldn’t shoot at German soldiers now.
We’ll tell them straight that we’re all friendly here -
And no more fighting in the world sounds sound!

They say we’re enemies again, old mate.
Ja, weihnachten war gestern, Bob my friend.
Forgive me if I take your life today…

*In 1914, the German and English troops had a ceasefire at Christmas.

I think my German words are correct, but apologies if not!

Premium Member The World We Live In

The World we Live in
As from the window i look out
Killings and maiming
Can they all be devout

What religion, has the right to say
Who lives or dies's on any given day
Whether Islamic or Hindu, Catholic or Christian
If there are these Gods, they sure ain't listening

This World we Live in
Has seen horror's aplenty
From alleged leaders, not quite so saintly.
As they led their killers, to rape and pillage
In many countries, and many a village

Leaders like Hitler, Pol Pot & Stalin
Order their Generals, don't pity the fallen
Murderous rages, in cities and towns
Women and children, the elderly mown down

What do we see in our public life
Similar scenes, but not so rife
From Columbine, Dunblane & Hungerford past
Will there be enough of us left, for us humans to last

As i look out my window, what us humans should see
Is The World we Live in, and live violence free
Who has the right, to slay a neighbour or friend
Simple sanity, or plain round the bend

I really don't know how to resolve the above
Man's inhumanity, and turn it to love
The journey of change, has taken a turn
Due to the appointment of Obama, where we will all learn

The explosion of vote, for the new President above
Is what the world needed, to give it a shove
Out of all the people i would most like to meet
This guy heads the list, shake his hand as we greet

And what i mean, from these words above
He has the Aura to turn, loose the white doves
With the help of the leaders, who think the same way
Will make this World safer, for Generations one day

So in the future as i read this again
There will be much compassion, and a lot less pain
The World we all Live in, will work rest and play
Generations living, as they should - every day

Premium Member Telemark

Imagine a world if they made it first
Their want to dominate would continue to thirst
Heavy Water to be their goal
More innocent lives, more lost souls

The German want for Nuclear Arms
Brought them to, Telemark's charms
A county in scenic south Norway
If they achieve the world will pray

1942, at Vemork Power Station
Scientist boffins on the road to creation
Allied forces, intelligence heard
Sabotage on the tongue is the word

November 1942 Operation Freshman starts
The 1st British Airborne
From Wick, Scotland they part
Destination Møsvatn - frozen lake
Where hero's will land
For the worlds sake

But tragedy hits, the gliders crash land
Soldiers captured, now with German command
Gestapo interrogate these fathers and sons
On Hitlers Order
Machine gunned

Operation Swallow and Gunnerside
Norwegian and British commando pride
Take on this mission to destroy this plant
If they fail, they face German rant
Production impeded as they make their escape
To Ski to safety and dodge their drape

A decision is made to bomb the plant
143 B-17's, as many bombs grant
Many fail, to hit their mark
This Heavy Water terror in Telemark
Damage is little as the Germans act
Shipped back to Germany by boat and rail track

On February 20th 1944
The ferry ship SF Hydro is at the fore
Her laid-en cargo in railed tanks
By the grace of god, about to be sunk
Plastic explosive, alarm clocks
Ignite together as the Hydro rocks
As her Stern sinks, the tanks roll
Into the fjord, jeopardise German goal

All hero's they are to risk their lives
As this conflict of history
Is told from their eyes
To sabotage this plant and its Holy Water
And saved the world from Ultimate Slaughter

Cocaine Cop Shows

there they are caught on television
the whole world watching the blurry faces
buying and selling narcotics
there are your chemical warfare victoms on global display
showing us how to use the product

Not out to be a hero
just tired of watching you make your torture victoms famous
to make money off of them
when drug abuse is on television
you have a problem

There she is snorting cocaine
out of her mind
the whole world watching in terror
and yet you don't do anything
as we watch on television how she goes about getting her next hit...
arent those drug dealers?
shouldn't they get arrested?
how much more proof do you need?
the whole world saw the deal go down
GUILTY GUILTY GUILTY

cocaine cop shows
the whole world watching in terror
helpless to help any of these individuals
and the police or bounty hunters still don't have enough evidence to make an arrest?
the whole world saw it go down
what more proof do you need?
its on television...seriously caught them on camera
the whole world watching
why arent you doing your job on t.v?

Guilty cops, we have a series that proves it
guilty cons, we have a series that proves it
guilty cops, why aren't you doing your jobs?
what more proof do you need?
GUILTY GUILTY GUILTY

Internal affairs, shouldn't you be watching your own television shows?
Internal affairs, is your problem really that bad?
cocaine cop shows, we all saw it go down, what more proof do you need?
it's on television, real life drama, no actors
doing drugs on television
and cops who won't do anything...
it looks so obvious from this distance
i have seen it for myself
i'm no judge but i can tell
who is guilty guilty guilty

We waited many years the few of us that are left
In our minds we couldn't imagine the surface on our earth so reft
What we knew before we will never know again
That man can be so destructive, and no one ever gains

Slowly we start to climb the steps to a world we knew
What element of view awaits as we step into anew
The sealed doors to our mountain safe-way creak against the quiet
Our hearts beat in-trepidation as we await their impending riot

Through the door we go into a landscape we read about in books
Do we appreciate what we have survived, so alive to be able to look
We look out across the valley once lush like a carpet of greens
What we see before us we knew as out of this world martian scenes

The town that we knew and loved has disappeared from view
Now replaced by open sores as they spill their molten spew
The sun is but a blur through a darkened dusty haze
What little oxygen presents, appears to fuel this fiery display

As we head down towards where our town was, very little of it remains
Collapsed and buried buildings our view is now en-grained
Skeletal metal frames as if molded by a sculptor's torch
Rocks melted into a glaze, by the bombs inevitable scorch

Many miles we now have walked through our barren radiated lands
Was it to be from the dawn of time that this moment was in our plans
As we head back to our mountain safe-way, looking back down our valley
It will be many many years, like it was, but we'll get there gradually

Romanus country
Romania to us
Iron curtain frontier
Dismantled by fuss

Like us all invaded
But by Goths and the Huns
Typical past history
Populations on the run
The Ottoman Empire, absorbed their souls
A free Romania the ultimate goal

Modern Romania has had its fears
The first world war
In neutrality gear
But by 1916, they released their fear

Allies they joined
As they sung the same song
Austria-Hungary they fought
To get rid of the wrong

In the second world war
Under Stalinist pressure
To remain neutral
Avenues of different measures

The Axis they joined
Once again with the Hun
With Italy and Japan
Their armies over run

Second world war over, but left with a horrific scar
Another country that went to far
Their part in the holókauston
A non defend-able time
The Antonescu regime
Crossed the line

Antonescu's approval for the removal of Jews
To concentration camps, quite horrific news
Eichmann and Richter, confirm the above
Jewish families on their final shove

The most recent chapter, in this ancient place
Nicolae Ceausescu, the people he would face
With the recent demise of the Berlin wall
This dictator so horrid, would also fall

A two hour trial on television
Would see him sentenced to his execution
Taken outside, him and his wife
For treason and genocide, they were shot on sight

Romania to date
A democracy
No longer Iron Curtain
A country now free

The Veil

The “Veil”

The birth of a child born with a veil
Told that he would see thing unbeknownst to everyone else
Traveled outside of the only place I’ve ever known
Wow….a world out here, a world to call my own
Never knew these things would exist
Toils and trouble and an iron fist
Strapped on boots tugged on my chain
What do you know they just call my name
I guess I am somebody, let me through
I want to move to the front now with you

Thought I was rich, with only one hole in my shoe
My brother’s shirt, my father’s rule
Only seven of us kids with two out the door
Now only five of us left, what next…what more
Friday night is coming, and I’m afraid to sleep
Father is drinking, mother in the streets
Screams and shout would pierce my ear
Chains from her beating and the ice pick near

Is this the caul that I’m so blessed to possess?
Is it the rule, does it lead to success
I get through the night and move through the years
I often reflect and often shed tears
Do I share these thoughts or just let it be
Time waits for no one, neither does the cadre

Now on the front lines fighting this war of hell
Should have seen it coming, for I had the veil
There isn’t anything special about my life so far
Maybe this pen, paper and this memoir
I was expecting something different in this fast paced life
Not to be in this sand, not to see this suffering and stife

I’m really confused now, watch me exhale
No longer the little boy born with the veil.
