Premium Member The Message

The wind I asked,
A message of my love for you to carry
And with its sweet breeze, I begged, the softest of
Kisses on your enviable lips from me to place,
A reminder to you that
Your presence I miss, your love and
Your affection
While dreaming of your blessed
Return.

The wind,
Eager to please,
Opened its lofty wigs and flew to all
Directions,
Searching for you everywhere, my urgent
Message to deliver

The time passed,
Waiting became unbearable as hours, days and months,
Declined to advance
So
Autumn wind brought no reply
Neither did that of winter’s or that
Of spring’s

Then
The summer came and with it, the
Long-awaited wind, finally, arrived
But
The breeze I had once sent, unrecognizable, had
Now returned:
A howling hurricane
For
You, my love, had my kiss
Rejected!

Premium Member a superficial tale

(a series of Senryus)

A superficial
tale, where the sun rises and
fades in its cycles

If our beach days are
slow and repetitive, nights
fast and more varied

Nights throb to club beat,
and the swirl of the dance floor
or long shoreline walks

It’s the wind and waves -
sounds that roll on the beach, with
vocals by the gulls

There are seashore sights,
say that several times fast
- white sands that glitter

systems are working,
the pharmacology of
vast ecologies

I’ll try to keep it
less than technical, there won’t
be a test later

I get these big feels
on the beach, there’s the warmth,
or even a chill

bees live at the beach
one stung me on my left palm

it was on my glass
slurping up residual
alcohol, I’d bet

I winced, shaking my
left palm, the pain exploded
an urgent message

If a writer’s goal
is to make you feel something
.. no, that would be mean.

It hurt like crazy -
I’m not hyper-alergic
nor insensitive.

if the bee dies when
they sting someone, well, that serves
the little beast right.

Kiss it and make it
better, I asked Peter - that
sting was over-kissed

Premium Member Eyes My Eyes

Eyes! My eyes cry and wonder in the mind of time.
What can the matter be What went wrong?
What has caused such wake-up tears is an urgent call? My tear-stained
pillows caressed three times my skin tones A new day rises above my
comfort zone Now understanding has graced my fate to say
Walking in my valley my shadow of tears as a child newborn child receiving joy from my friends and then I remember Father brought the love that can hear see and smell a multitude of fragrance tones A love song from afar seems to whisper my name over and over again! Caress my cheeks to take away
Pain weeping may endure for a night this is known But joy comes in the morning light this is known Kisses of joy overwhelmed me vicariously!
My very soul and my thoughts trembled in the night So my eyes flowed with
cried tears in the night but in the light of day saw that the path curved
                                                     tight
The loneliness was gone in the fallen zone
Then I heard for the first time the word We. You are not alone as we
walk through our valleys our shadows of death we must not fear evil
and allow love to shine in dark hidden spaces of a once gray day of dull existence now be happy joyful and sweetly radiantly happy in the fallen zone of secret shadows that appear! Perfect love so humbled me! So sweet the beat so beat the drum so near so hear beat hear it was near the forest green scene a tear whisper gentle in the night right in the bedroom by the glass
door did flow forrest walls beat melodically
Melodically tapping a We Bedroom song!

Premium Member My Quest

My Quest

To answer the question
when asked how I serve,
from high expectations
with justified nerve,
The answer is simply,
"I make it my quest
to heed when He calls
with my faithfully best."

Each soul of His
precious as each one before
He calls to my heart
gently knocking the door
and moves me to do
or to say or to give
and be an example
of how we should live.

It's heeding His call
as an urgent request
to shine through his light
at my faithfully best.
Revived yet anew
fanning fire to grace
that's forging the crown
on my head He will place.

Enslaved obligations
found driving my soul,
albeit whole hearted
yet still leave a hole,
elude the elation
of feeling His touch
and the loving approval
I yearn for so much.

For the jewels of my crown
are the moments of these
In no better way
to my God could I please
than to honor the vow
of "I make it my quest
to heed when He calls
with my faithfully best."

Premium Member I Do Not Know What To Tell Her

My friend has five dogs – Chet, Ruffy, Bones, Chewy and Saber.
Every conversation comes back to them.
If I have a new hat, she had one once and Chewy chewed it in half.
If I say “my cousin” she reminds me that Bones and Saber are cousins.

I get to hear a play-by-play of their daily antics.
It is not that enjoyable, but we are friends so I am polite.
My dogs are my life, she tells me. Much nicer to me than my daughter.
She does not see her grandchildren after Chet bit one of them.

Chet is not a bad dog, I am sure she was teasing him, she said.
When I mention my dogs, she has to go. She has an urgent something.
But yet, I am not only supposed to enjoy her dogs, but…..
I am supposed to enjoy it when she puts them on Facetime.

They bark “hello” to me, one by one.
My daughter never calls me, she laments.
I have no idea what to tell her.
The dogs bark their agreement.

Read Journal True Bull His Him Within Lusaka, Zambia Part Three

Meanwhile Doctor Kaunda reminded young
people in the country ascending the rung
of success they have a big role to play
with trappings of pride slung

in weaving together unity among unsung
swiftly tailored heroes, as sowers
reaping luxe fabrics of peace among
divinity, integrity, magnanimity,
and unity for this country.

He has however commended President
Edgar Lungu for his efforts in uniting recent
dichotomy, sans the various people in the country,
And speaking at the same event,

National Guidance and reminescent
Religious Affairs Minister
Reverend Godfridah
Sumaili sought riches for indigent -

says national unity and urgent
peace critical for development
of the geographical extent
spanning entire country

Reverend Sumaili says difficult
no matter how fervent
for Zambia to develop
if no unity among Zambians.

And earlier in his speech, Commodores
Vision Ambassador to Zambia
Chairperson Misheck Kombe yours
truly expressed concern to jumpstart
solution regarding regionalism and tribalism at heart
tearing Zambia apart, like inures

reflux resignation of meal,
thus Mr. Kombe underscores
how important each and every shores
Zambian to join the crusade complacent
against tribalism and regionalism
because it retards development for s'mores!

Premium Member A Manic Night of Bipolar Rapture

I feel so freaking, God-like good;
     I feel My chest-expanding heart
and the mad frenzy in My blood,
which tear My mind and soul apart!

These urgent voices in My head
     reverberate and echo loud
memories and regrets now dead
     and buried in a forsaken shroud;

they scream at Me, "You're the Devil!"
     They prophesy the Anti-Christ,
and accuse Me of all the evil
     since mankind first became enticed.

I refuse their shrill, satanic call;
     and find in the Apocalypse
that God's avenging Angel of all
is Me who is the world's eclipse.

"Not Anti-Christ!" I now reply.
"Not Devil!" I begin to shriek,
"for the Lamb of the world am I,
the Lord's Messiah for the meek!"

Sinners will know their final hour;
they will drown in their anguished cries
when I at last will know My power,
and expose all their wicked lies!

In this soft, padded cell of white
     they watch and look at Me with dread;
they view Me as a monstrous blight,
and starve Me with unleavened bread.

How long is My imprisonment?
     I cannot guess, divine, or tell;
but from the look of that filament,
     they can keep Me for quite a spell;

"Dear God! I hate these lousy drugs,"
I howl, "that they shoot in My ass!"
They hold Me down those stupid thugs,
     injecting Thorazine so fast!

They fail to grasp the true reasons
why I'm here: I wish they could see
that I can forgive their treasons,
if they would just believe in Me?

Once free again I'll be reborn,
     lifted up in divine Image;
I'll end man's need for drugs and p*rn;
and prepare them for God's Marriage.

So hear My law and injunction,
the lost will burn without release
once they all know My dominion:
only then will My Rapture cease!

An Urgent Prayer For Linda-Marie

My poem is dedicated to Linda-Marie: The Sweetheart of Poetry Soup...
it's my token of gratitude for her precious friendship and endless kindness.

We thought she had disappeared without traces;
it's not like her...her trails are made of pretty laces,
but friends at Poetry Soup have missed for three weeks:
a lovely lady with the friendliest smile and rosiest cheeks.

The bad news hit me hard and made me cry desperately,
losing something so useful to accomplish daily tasks
as writing, or driving a car is a great tragedy; why did this
happen to a good person such as Linda-Marie?

Is God testing her faith, knowing that her heart is strong?
I've been tested by Him in infinite ways and still praise His name!
Another man would have shouted in anger and abandon Him
as an irrational one has surely done to accuse Him of wrong!

Hopefully, Linda-Marie will accept this tragedy and go on as usual
without feeling helpless, lonely and forgotten by Him and all;
we'll stand by her as He will...comforting her with prayers and loving thoughts,
being assured that our effort will help her overcome painful days with little sun rays.

Oh, what a poet I could be,
If it wasn't for Babslou93.
Each day new words come thick and fast,
Each one I think I'll make the last,
But no, I can't resist the lure,
I send a stonker right back to her.
Then back she comes with thirtyfive,
I strive to keep the game alive,
My paltry twenty she jumps on,
Sixty eight, where did that come from ?
I'm really stuck - I've got a Q,
Defeat is clearly now in view.
Resorting to strange words, it seems
Nothing can outwit her schemes.
My every little plot is thwarted,
I'm really feeling quite exhausted.
The end's in sight, a final flourish.
She's won the day. My game was rubbish.
And though I'd like my breath to catch,
No chance, she's after a rematch.
And so the hours are whiled away,
As urgent matters of the day
Are sidelined, but pleasant I agree
Is Scrabbling with Babslou93.

Let Love Spread

There's one plea I'd like to ask
Its such a small simple task
Show the care inside your heart
To others, cause it will start
A ripple effect that will
Start to overcome and kill
All the hate we've come to know
Let the light inside you glow
Covering up all the darkness
Others created this big mess
Let's fix it earning back trust
It is urgent and a must
We all need to play a part
It is unacceptable and not
The way we should all behave
Let's stop being mindless slaves
To the hurt and pain in others
Let's all be sisters and brothers
Once again we used to be
One big happy family
Helping one another when
A member fell down again
We'd hold out a helping hand
To lift them on their feet again
When did we stop caring for
Our neighbors who live next door
Please don't keep your love at bay
Show it to others every day
