I see you
But you do not see me
Clammy sweat
Palms get wet
You want to run, be free
Shiver, shake
Wide eyes make
You give a stiffled scream
Unclear doubt
What's about
Feel's like horrible dream
Heartbeats race
You hide face
You can't this torture bear
Close behind
Me you'll find
You know my name as Fear
You can't see
Wicked me
But Fear is always near!

Being invisible #2 - Poetry Contest
Note:
Fear is the companion of everybody. Silient, irrational, omnipresent, and INVISIBLE. Fear always lurks around the corner, it is invisible and strikes one suddenly. It is diffiult to come to terms with it let alone recognise it. The scream of the drowning person, or the suffocating feeling or terror of a phobia, are all manifestations of FEAR - once you face it, it vanishes!
They gathered outside- I'm alone,
and at my back window, I groan!
I think- what is this
my hubby will miss?
Then, quickly I reach for my phone!
"We're being invaded, my dear!
Please quickly come home, for I fear
these huge long-necked beasts
are looking for feasts!
Whatever they are- is unclear!”
“I counted at least twenty-one
now looking for food where there's none!
It seemed a bad sign
when their eyes met mine!
The door's locked- so I need not run!"
Some photos I send him to please;
He views them, then texts me with ease-
"Please, honey calm down!
No need for a frown!
Your so-called wild beasts are Turkeys!”
Confusing, as I just recalled
my Thanksgiving Turkeys were bald;
came right from the store
piled up with lots more!
Not “beasts”- but OUR “feasts” - I'm appalled!
So many people carry love in their hearts that they are too afraid to express. But if we never express our love, it may just die alone inside us. Take a chance and show your love. Whatever happens, at least you did.
Give love a chance
By Michelle Morris

In the silent darkness of your heart,
Your greatest fear is keeping you apart -
From the one you love -
Your soul mate;
Loss and regret as it grows too late.
Take a chance -
Love is worth the uncertainty of tomorrow;
Or risk the what-if of loneliness and abject sorrow;
Feeling lost, no people here;
Future hope is now unclear.
For love that is not shown,
Could die inside you all alone;
And what good could that ever do,
If you don't give it a chance to be
given back to you.
At least you can try,
Despite the fear;
Set your love free -
Make your feelings clear.
Put aside any arrogance and pride;
For love can be right now by your side -
Make a plan, work together;
Blessed love can last forever.

Wishing upon a star
Distance seems so far
Miles ahead of me
To far to see
Dreams that are on their way
But meant for another day
Heart longing for affection
But feel I need protection
Love given to fast
Doesn't seem to last
Lessons of the past
Is it worth the pain
The stain
Lost in what to do
Will love grow
Cause I don't know
The pathway is unclear
I fear
The future is left unknown
The pathway lies yet un shown
Over grown
Eyes that are blind
See Only what's been left behind
Not what lies ahead
May fill them with dread
Would you still go
Still grow
Follow a path no one else wants to try
I may just fly
I may just cry
Time will tell
If I did well
Long as you give your best
You pass the test
If you didn't try
Then you have reason to cry
living in snow-capped Boulder was Mrs. G. Golder
Her personality persnickety and colder
fourteen juicy pepper jack cheeseburgers would not hold her
Six candy bars too, Mrs. Molder whispered to my pal Soldier
Mrs. Molder was a snoopy neighbor of Golder
None of us ventured to guess which crone was older
Their birth certificates flagged inside a red folder
Kept by the F.B.I. in weather that was colder
What’s your guess? My sister asked, nudging my shoulder
I guessed Mrs. Molder, but my sister argued it was Mrs. G. Golder
To find the answer, we broke into the F.B.I. office in Boulder
Discovered they were twins; it was unclear which one was older.
Words now align fond peace of mind
Blind is the man who fails to see
Work speeding craze as mad thoughts greet
Quit if you must the way of loss
Feel that strange chill upon the path
Gain not in vain the stuff of rust
Round and round here the fragile plot
Play ends comic as tragic toss
Gaze upon grounds of mystic spheres
Unzip the fest of sad sure signs
Move here and there yet lost somewhere
The mood is bleak for peak you seek
Listen and heed the rows of weed
Pet in plain sight the waves of nerves
And as you end the climax here
Bizarre seems clear for fear now dies
Free verse in sync with sounds within
Yet there is sense in tense unclear

Through storms we walk, through shadows deep
Where trials wake, and sorrows seep,
The road is rough, the path unclear,
Yet courage blooms despite the fear
Each stumble teaches, each fall refines,
In darkness, strength within us shines.
The heart may break, the spirit bend,
But hope endures, it will not end.
Through ire and rain, we rise rebuild,
A steadfast soul, with purpose filled.
For trials pass, as seasons do,
and brighter skies come into view.
Through tribulations, life will show,
The depth we rise, the love we sow
Chapter
I'm sorry
I'm an *******
I'm not sure
how this began
but it must end.
If we continued,
I couldn’t face myself
in the mirror
as I can’t look
into your eyes.
Now.
My wife and I
have a history
of interdependency
and failing
but there are
huge expectations
in our children’s eyes.
They are my story
I'm but a sorry chapter
in your tale
which we should never
have opened
and now must,
sadly, close
I'm sorry
I'm an *******
but this
must end.

Footnote
I’m sorry you feel
this must end.
Sorrier that you are
feeling badly.
While you are not
sure how it started,
I’ve known how we
would end up
the moment I laid
eyes on you.
While you think to me
you are but a sorry chapter.
In truth,
you are like the footnotes of my existence --
explaining a source of my preferences;
providing additional relevant material;
suggesting other areas to explore;
clarifying unclear parts.....
I’m sorry you feel
this must end.
Sorrier that you are
feeling badly.
While we have
spouses that need us,
I think we do enjoy
and need each other.

post and echo of an imaginary affair
(The writer Bourget is discussing the murder of
his friend, Gaston Calmette. Sixte is the hero of
one of Bourget's novels. Proust, another novelist,
lived in the street where the murder occurred.
Sorel was a pre-Fascist philosopher.)
3. Paul Bourget
I wonder why she'd do it? It's unclear,
at least to me, why Calmette had to die.
Unless we penetrate the sleek veneer,
we'll never know the who, the how, the why.
Like Sixte, assailed by Greslou's angry mother,
poor Calmette had to square the circle, and
make heat and ice accord with one another.
One might as well try growing rice on sand.
Perhaps the novelist may be of use.
The fellow Proust lives near, at one-three-three.
He'll know how human nature's an abstruse,
illogical, symbolic pot-pourri.
Or Sorel is the moral. We're not free.
For all our empty talk of Liberty,
our lives are ruled by (could we only see!)
the crude determinist machinery
that novels have. For such lèse-majesté
he got his just come-uppance. Ça suffit.
Queen of the willows, ferns, shadows and moss.
Her miniature dragon perched on her lap with pleasure,
Both together adding to verdant forest a duo treasure.
Unclear to the feral and fey which one is the boss.
Lady green velvet in her almost totally backless gown,
With cobweb tattoos and powerful bracelets of copper,
Curly auburn hair cascading down, a pleasant show stopper.
The most formidable beauty for miles around.
There is a hush in the forest, the woodland creatures pause.
Is it man? Is it human? Is it a slider or a prancer? We all hesitate.
It is a tiny garter snake, who has no idea of his almost fate.
Luckily these two guardians will not injure anyone without cause.
The forest gives them shelter, loving both for their observant skills.
They watch over closely the squirrels, raccoons, opossum and fox,
These two lovely creatures who never honor any clocks.
They tolerate much, but truly do not like any animal that kills.
