I see the subtle way she looks at me
with soft blue eyes that put me in a trance,
and her flirtatious smile that’s so carefree;
it beckons me to come and take a chance.
Her gentle curves beneath her red sundress
in bright sunlight show off her silhouette,
and calls to me inviting love’s caress
while tempting me with tryst I won’t regret.
Cannot this lovely temptress see my hand
which bears on finger narrow band of gold,
or is this rendezvous just as she planned
to taste forbidden fruit not hers to hold?
Are sweet temptations just as she designed,
or is temptation only in my mind?

"The wind is the pounding of my heart."
O heart just blow! Do not pound like a hungry hound!
Be breeze! Do not turn into wind and roughly bound!
When you're gentle, you're soothing and caressing bride,
Beauty-concentrated; blemish less; with no pride!
You're strong; beating too fast; Flip-flopping! Venturing;
Within, yet, placid breeze endlessly pestering;
Nature is the doctor, who can cure your illness.
She grants you implicit and explicit stillness...!
God has his vital plans. Who am I to resist?
Betwixt breeze and wind, what, exactly, is the tryst?
Before apathy sets in and rough outrages creep,
Shall we sow virtues and, for ever, blessings reap...?
"As yet, the wind is an untamed and unharnessed force"

I lift and rise to being chased,
pops half-way, till full, beamed round-faced,
a fire host heightened its facade,
casting daylight shadows abroad.
Cool Earth plunged hot by its keeper,
heat courses like the Grim Reaper,
smiles at darkness to wait its turn,
up curve tidied, noon loses yearn.
Orange turns red, claws at purple,
white flagged as dusk makes a hurtle,
a gloaming rhythms the musing sphere,
like one tied to tracks, locked in fear.
Named twilight as some light appears,
though hour triggers those tryst affairs,
calm ruse warmth as limbs fuss about,
caught midnight streams like baited trout.
A night dips mid-Cherub's flirting,
their chariot horses fleeing,
while the golden sentinel rides,
as the solitaire lift comprised.
A new task surround, maneuvers,
seers illume become producers,
hail a whole new year of seasons,
first, until last, filled with reasons.
The lead round about the bodies,
as they spin on stage like follies,
glows revue as savory hams,
marooned its taste just like PB Jams.
Bittersweet, as they realigned,
lead pars best swept the rest, resigned,
equinox and solstice charted,
psyche chose, and rookies parted.
A decisive planet divides,
segregation always collides,
closets partitioned a household,
Edens knowledge, they were paroled.
As a classroom globe builds up dust,
while folks roam about, make a fuss,
intellect cleans a tarnished steel,
greens will entomb them 'ere they kneel.
the deepest part of my heart has a key,
gulping and squeezed, with precious tears,
fears frozen with sweet memories, loving
cup that overflows — a blue-blue fountain
strumming in a garden with singing trees.
§
the secret garden of my mind flowing
in four different directions, partitions of
a red-red beating heart, a steady beat,
massaged, alive by the hand of Christ.
roses and tulips intertwine succinctly.
§
apropos petals propose a seasoned mix,
a stir of scented wind. honeysuckle and
lavender tryst fill my eyes with happiness
but the winds always changing, often brisk
and dating, the calendar flipping, flouncing
§
and the ground shaking beneath my knees
whilst i breathe out loud, sensations of
anxiety, ne’er knowing where life will lead
but faith, ferocious faith and hope, yes-love
must tender me a kiss via my savior.

Time & Tide. Wait for None
Time wanders away
Keeping a tryst with its destination
Till we realize we have missed ours
Trying to rewind the clock in vain
The balance of hours have depleted
Until we realize, time was not well spent.
Inside the concept of time
World within this world
At the core, I realized
No relevance of beginning or end
Much we try to tame it
Time is our imagination
Past, present and future, transient
Concept of being there
When we change time after time
You are not bound by the constraints of time
Before the beginning You were there
You always existed, and always will
You loved me before time existed
And You will love me when it ends

-- January 30, Martyr's Day --
noble and martyred
wrapped in the colours they served
nation in their legacy

Jawaharlal Nehru stood before The Parliament - Words were spoken, recounted this century as clear as then.
“Long years ago, we made a tryst with destiny; and now the time comes when we shall redeem our pledge, not wholly or in full measure, but very substantially.
At the stroke of the midnight hour, when the world sleeps, India will awake to life and freedom.
A moment comes, which comes but rarely in history, when we step out from the old to the new -- when an age ends, and when the soul of a nation, long suppressed, finds utterance. It is fitting that at this solemn moment we take the pledge of dedication to the service of India, her people, and to the still larger cause of humanity.
The turning-point is past, and history begins anew for us, the history which we shall live and act and others will write about.”

Policemen are positioned at the borders of states.
Stars are thanked at the break of dawn - the night passed without their lives.
Embassies light up with stories of the past - They play out on facades for the holidayer in traffic.
Tiny hands wave paper flags at the rural side of the city. In the August heat, parades are viewed from terraces barefoot.
Students wear pins in a march. The sole aim ~ Giving back more than we get.
A day cannot sleep without celebration of culture:
saffron, white and green
twenty nine states on stage -
nation in their eyes

In a forest glade where no shadows fall.
An emerging scene of a lovers tryst
Amid yellow broom and the elm trees tall
They embraced each other and gently kissed
She’s just a young girl, he, almost a score
Their romance is new, innocent and pure
And among the blooms on the forest floor
The fledgling pair find passionate allure
Fused in each others arms desire grows strong
With feelings of rapture right from the start
The lovers engage, like in an old song
Vowing to cherish and never to part
There in the woodland they plighted their troth
Amongst the tall elms and dense undergrowth
Sea of grass
Hues of green;
Dancing in the sun
~~~~~~~~~
Mood swings
Dash of madness;
Daylight conspires
~~~~~~~~~
Sea shore tryst
High tides splash;
Salty sand caressed
~~~~~~~~~
Curvy tracks winding
Jogging feet trekking;
Trees sigh in the wind
~~~~~~~~~
Sky canopy
Airy shelters here;
Wet garments for earth
~~~~~~~~~
Noisy seagulls
Congregation expounds;
Fishy conversations
~~~~~~~~~
Moonlight excursion
Romance on the prowl;
Seaside rendezvous
~~~~~~~~~
Late evening chills
Prelude to deep sleep;
Healing slumber comes
~~~~~~~~~
Poise of morning
Sunbeams surprise;
Unfurls ample more
