I Breathe Out Loud
the deepest part of my heart has a key,
gulping and squeezed, with precious tears,
fears frozen with sweet memories, loving
cup that overflows — a blue-blue fountain
strumming in a garden with singing trees.
§
the secret garden of my mind flowing
in four different directions, partitions of
a red-red beating heart, a steady beat,
massaged, alive by the hand of Christ.
roses and tulips intertwine succinctly.
§
apropos petals propose a seasoned mix,
a stir of scented wind. honeysuckle and
lavender tryst fill my eyes with happiness
but the winds always changing, often brisk
and dating, the calendar flipping, flouncing
§
and the ground shaking beneath my knees
whilst i breathe out loud, sensations of
anxiety, ne’er knowing where life will lead
but faith, ferocious faith and hope, yes-love
must tender me a kiss via my savior.
