Shaggy Mane

Forest park gives different poses
Each day
Alongside her snake
The mirror of river

Her jewelry box of rubies and emeralds
Overflows
From her hands

To her Birch neck
To her Oak breast
She sparkles in the slant of sun as the gold leaves
Part
For the key of the curious wind

How many Maple dresses do her closets hold?

I come upon a deer
No more than an arm’s length away
Too small to be here this time of year
Without a mother

Hang on

Bends her neck back down to devour the morsels
Of the forest floor

With autumn all around her

A woman in her 30s with sticks of long hair
Wears a simple thin black dress
Revealing her knees

Crouches
To the ground and something she’s found

Points me to the few hours of a Shaggy Mane

It grows in the grass
Like a Jingdezhen blue porcelain cup from the Ming Dynasty
Travelled centuries and worlds
To here
This spot of dew and sun
And the spell of her withdrawn hands

How easily I fall in love
With a fellow refugee
Who doesn’t think she belongs to this world

The caress of my hand passes through her

The day becomes late

Each night this time of year
The stars share and shake
The dark
With ravines of a million migrating songbirds

Drawn home to the October moonlight

The tribulation
Unheard
Unseen.

"Enter by the narrow gate: for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. "Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it. Matthew 7:13, 14

For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness. Romans 1:18

Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, and exchanged the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man--and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things. Romans 1:22,23

Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever Amen. Romans 1:24, 25

But in accordance with the hardness and your impenitent heart you are treasuring up for yourself wrath in the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God, "who will render to each one according to his deeds". eternal life to those who by patient continuance in doing good seek for glory, honor, and immortality; but to those who are self-seeking and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness--indignation and wrath, tribulation and anguish, on every soul of the man who does evil to the Jew first and also of the Greek; but glory and honor, and peace to everyone who works what is good, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. Romans 2:5-10

***For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 6:23 Cross reference Eph. 2:8,9

***All Biblical scriptural references are from the NKJV

All of my love, my life and my dedication to
Christ Jesus.

Remember there's always love hope
As we journey thru hills, dark slope
With God can have light
Helps us not lose sight
Day or night
With Lord cope

Feelings

Feelings
Feelings that become rebellious
Uncontrolled and unrestrained
Often times will cause disorder
They will leave a good name stained
Feelings that are sentimental
When not balanced, curbed or checked
Even when they give some pleasure
Still they may gravely affect
Even love can be an illness
As much as pity can be a vice
Often common sense is silenced
For it would for sure chastise
Feelings can be sly and tricky
If not cornered they run wild
They are stubborn and relentless
Like a rash and boisterous child
Feelings sometimes can get darker
When they part from joy and glee
As they roam in gloomy places
They lose hope and fantasy
Feelings are a curious party
They thrive when with a chaperone
But they can cause much tribulation
When left unguided and alone.

The natives believe that the Mississippi River
carries the souls of their ancestors into the water of judgment
wherein they will either enter the Sun's fire of joy
or sit in the ice of the Moon having their feathers counted and examined,
I suspect that when we, The Corps of Discovery accomplish our mission
this Grandfather river will haunt us like a deep dream that fights Time,
He is an American river now, an avenue for the trade of empire, substance and soul,
President Jefferson purchased the Louisiana Territory from Napoleon in 1803
for 15 million dollars, enough gold to build a bed with
and a landscape large enough to construct a nation on,
it is now summer of 1804 and with hearts, rifles and ores we explore
into lands that lurk with life old as oceans and tribes ageless in tribulation,
we are three dozen men whom hunt not warriors or wealth
raiding and rapine be not our pleasure, war party song our spirit sings not,
we are agents of destiny,
emissaries of Washington and explorers of the Northwest Passage,
the Spanish, French, and English already have merchants and mercenaries
peppered in remote areas of lucrative wilderness
furs, precious metals and trade routes lay naked to the will of disciplined conquest,
for the Indians survival is the business, their heritage hinges on heroism,
everyone has a claim yet only one power will reign,

When you're afraid of the unknown, don't be discouraged, have hope, Faith!
It's human and natural to be anxious, but don't be afraid,
You are alive today and so many things I know in life take place,
But do not fret, God is always there to assist you to give you his aid

We all start our days with a routine or something plan,
Everyday we plan some sort of map in our mind the best we can,
But then something happens that we were not really prepared for,
We want to cry all that we've worked for its out of the door

In life sometimes things are just too much, everywhere we see,
We get this painful urge, this traumatic feeling, that we can take it no more,
Sometimes everything hurt us, and we're afraid of what's in store,
We don't know what to do in cases like this, and to Him we should tell Him our plea

Days come and go and we have to deal with what the new day will bring to you and me
Let's do then all the best we can, give the rest to God, and pray some more and He'll help you a lot you'll see.

September 12 Heart for God Bible Meditations Based on Ezekiel 40-42

Key Verse – Ezekiel 40:1 In the five and twentieth year of our captivity, in the beginning of the year, in the tenth day of the month, in the fourteenth year after that the city was smitten, in the selfsame day the hand of the LORD was upon me, and brought me thither.

HEART THAT CLINGS TO THE HAND OF THE LORD

Our heart clings to the hand of the Lord midst sickness
Since He heals our ailing soul from sinfulness
Making us whole with His forgiveness
So that we can follow Him against selfishness.

Our heart clings to the hand of the Lord midst doubt
Since He enlightens our confused mind from unbelief bout
Making us settled with His Scriptures’ route
So that we can turn against ignorance-pout.

Our heart clings to the hand of the Lord midst fright
Since He calms our nervous heart from fret-fight
Making us peaceful with His courage-light
So that we can win against guilt during prayer-flight.

Our heart clings to the hand of the Lord midst misery
Since He deals with our perilous anxiety from injury
Making us hopeful with His miracles’ story
So that we can move on against worry toward victory.

Our heart clings to the hand of the Lord midst discouragement
Since He cheers up our frustrated spirit from loss-entrapment
Making us revived with His love-fulfillment
So that we can continue trusting Him against discontentment.

Our heart clings to the hand of the Lord midst temptation
Since He strengthens our failing faith from persecution
Making us triumphant with His fortification
So that we can persevere against tribulation.

Our heart clings to the hand of the Lord midst despair
Since He upholds our faltering convictions from worldliness’ affair
Making us joyful with His restoration-care
So that we can prevail against frustration-dare.

Umbrella of Faith

Trials are just unstoppable,
They are like the cold falling rain;
Endurance we all truly need
To weather the strong storm of pain.

Rains may come in total torrents,
Like tests that come in succession;
They drown the heart and mind in tears,
Draining both by tribulation.

Firm faith in God we must possess
Holding the umbrella handle;
Though the downpour is too heavy,
We can still stand, we can struggle.

Faith fails to remove the tough test,
For life is truly fraught with it;
But it makes us able to pass,
Even if heart is hardest-hit.

With no trials to experience,
Our resolve will not be proven;
Like the genuine gold placed on fire,
We are cleared by God in heaven.

Trials by fire that do happen
Are too hot to touch by the hand;
Let’s handle them with utmost care,
By the shield of one God's command.

Without true faith we will weaken,
Chilling in the rain dark and cold;
When trials come - hard or easy,
Umbrella of faith we must hold.
