No Fairy-Tale

2/23/21

From May to April
Faithful
Remaining grateful
And thankful
Hiking around with a dog named Hazel
Sometimes watching a movie or something on cable
Got to make the best of it, or else it would be shameful
Far too often people being sour and hateful
Tripping over power in ways that are disgraceful
Occasionally it was painful
At times there was betrayal
Similar to Cain and Abel
Still I sought to bring a lot to the table
Using it effectively instead of being wasteful
Easy to follow or hard to track on any trail
The end result was successful or it failed
I sped around or moved like a snail
Saw it all on a minor or major scale
Laid low like a minnow or moved around like a Blue Whale
Drinking alcohol, water or ginger ale
The real thing not no Fairy-tale
Or old wives' tale
Got to live it up every day, before they put in the final coffin nail
I loss, reached a stalemate or prevailed
Setting sail
For as long as I can, until the outcome is fatal

Stars went out and others grew bright
Never lose sight
All through life
Underneath sunshine and moonlight
Always trying to do right
Regardless of if we are ever able to truly unite

At all times they watch
Folks continually being brain washed
Obsessed and distracted by the playoffs
Instead of individuals around us similar to Adolf
Far too often there is a face-off
Worked out great or it came at a great cost
Wasn't always a straight shot
In and out of areas with more or less than eight cops
Spread out or posted up in the same spot

For Pete's sake
It was easy or difficult taking more than three takes
Near and far from sea snakes
While in and out of the breezeway
As life continues on or begins to decay
Once in awhile I'd have a slice of cheesecake
Close to or nowhere near the seascape
Some never had it, others lost it, and the rest believe with faith
Few generous, most a cheapskate
Among garbage and keepsakes

Occasionally I daydream
Realize it isn't what it always may seem
Would it do us any better if we end up on the same team?

Mental Illness Collage

I have more honor than pills.
With empty containers about to spark.
More honor than pills.
I think I lost a bone back there.

More of a hole-in-the-sand type of thought.
There’s more than a missing arm bone I left back there.
Leaving a trail of organs behind.
More honor in pills.

I have a temptation to shut off all the lights, all the brights, all the mites.
And the sand has thoughts either way.
Mental illness is more than a liver, bone, or appendix.
So what else do I have to toss?

Larvae sprouted in my wake.
So what else is going to wake up?
That’s what pills do.
For a lightning-bursting, recipe-laden, relish-brain person like me.

Premium Member Pulse of Manila

This sunset of peach crowns the bay, aglow
While Manila lies in tropical bliss
This region bustling with tunes as nights flow
Along street cafes where friends reminisce.

The jam of guitars floods a moonlit trail
Dizzy where tangy hyacinths delight…
Folks prancing on rhumba beats to unveil
My city agleam... near a harbor bright.

Modern yet quaint, this scene is my life’s art
Afloat like an isle of eclectic flair,
Robed in temples, parks of inner child’s heart
For this dwelling charms with beauty to share.

In my abode of pearled Oriental grains,
Manila pulsates in festive refrains.

Premium Member Living With the Inner Child

In the world nurtured by nature so unsullied and pristine in God’s own land so divine, a child is born with empty mind where beauty finds a niche encased within the frame of innocence that has no sense of the real life so trying. The face of the child, blooming the flower of heavenly smile, reflects the image of God in the flawless transient mirror so fragile, gets shattered as it endures the harsh time’s impact, but the credulous simplicity may last long while the world around changes fast as it happened with me. A gleaming stream gliding in ebullience with the glistening liquid pearls of elegance, flowed with the flamboyant facade of silvery splendor, bedecked our house with an ornate garland, made of embracing loop of mesmerizing meander. On its rippling water passing me by I as a child sailed the paper boats tinged with the rainbow colors, that glided wobbling on the current’s tortuous trail. I imagined my mariner mind sailed unbound on these to a distant unknown dreamland, suffused with the child’s trance. The boats disappeared in the sea of memory with the ebb of the lost time, but those adorable tender moments gone by I live in the twilight hours with my inner child and…

see life like a child
bliss emits from fountain of
divine innocence

The Many Faces of Love

What is love?

The North Star guiding
a lost seafarer home,
Or the Siren song luring
him to the rocky shores?
Is it frolicking in the moonlit night
in a field of flowers
Or trudging across
an arid, scorching desert?
Is it a freeway to bliss and joy
Or a meandering trail
through a rugged terrain
of grief and woe?
Is it a cup of hemlock
Or a chalice of nectar?
Is it a snake pit
Or a bridge over the chasm
of hatred and bigotry?
Is it an ever-elusive mirage
Or the rock of Gibraltar?

Love is all that and more,
And yet it’s nothing,
A mere emotion, a feeling –
At first blush, irrelevant
And yet,
It’s an impetus, a catalyst –
An euphoria permeating our entire being--
"Love is a many-splendored thing!"*

Stations of the Cross

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=08v3eEgy1SU

Jesus, when you fell to the ground under the weight of a great cross, doggedly following the soldiers on the dusty trail, you were whipped with their lashes and kicked , until you went down. Oh, how they must have hurt you Jesus, as they ignored your pain and pierced your head with a crown of sharp branches.
Jesus, the cross you had been carrying got suddenly very heavy. You became weak and ready to faint. When you fell down, no one came to your aid. The soldiers wanting to get home, just yelled and told you to get up and move one. They asked Simon to help you carry the cross, but still they despised and humiliated you, my beloved one. Bravely you rose from the ground and taking up your cross, you continued ahead.
For the sake of your wayward children and for the sake of love, you never once faltered nor gave up.

Premium Member I Want a Cobra For Christmas

I want a cobra for Christmas
Only a cobra will do
Don't want any other junk, certainly no toy
I want a cobra that will eat up a large boy.
I want a Cobra for Christmas
And maybe some nutty trail mix.
I don't think Santa Claus will mind, do you?
He can bring a wife and children too.
I can see him now on Christmas morning
Slithering toward my cousin’s head.
Oh what joy I will feel inside.
When I sense him inside the cobra instead
Of bothering me like he usually does.
Yes, cousin you had better hide
For I want a cobra for Christmas
Only a cobra will do
No fake cobras, and not one that is stuffed.
I want a l lively one that can easily get puffed.
And cobras like me, too
My family had one once when I was two.
I used to play near the cage, and we talked to each other.
You can ask my dad, and my grandmother.
They were turned off, but I was enthralled.
I want a cobra who can laugh and can crawl.
I can see me now on Christmas morning
Creeping down the stairs
Oh what joy, what surprise
When I open up my eyes
To see a cobra family standing there
I want a cobra for Christmas
Only a cobra will do
No fake cobras, and not one that is stuffed.
I want a l lively one that can easily get puffed.
It’s a perk also that cobras like me too.
No other present will ever do!

Not pauses blowing hot, not the red kind,
Our seasons bear eternally a kiss,
Like fabric draped on time, never amiss
That from years' luster sweet kinship, I find,
Sweet dew to quell a thirsting quite enshrined
With gentle sways to learn, to care , I tease.
And breath expresses my warmth, to say this,
To be refreshed and always hold love signed.

So come, dear ones, we’ll trail on endless strands
That melt into this bay of aqua-blue,
Beyond the rising blooms, near palm trees’ nest
Where Indian Soul wheels above the sands,
And Ontario Nymph glides faithful, so true
For only then shall I feel wholly blessed.

The Afternoon Moon

The Afternoon Moon

Grandmother reclines in the passenger seat,
while sunlight glows through her white wavy hair.
Her cheeks rosy, she smiles at me
as I drive east toward the Blossom Trail.
I beam back, then remember
my mask hides my mouth.

We pass some almond orchards,
the flowers like drops of warm vanilla cream
under the clear blue sky.
Grandmother remarks how some trees
already dropped their petals,
though it’s not even March.

A white half moon climbs the sky,
like it wants to get a jump start on night,
even if it’s only two o’clock.
It tries to rush away my Sunday,
my present moment, my time with Grandmother
into a whole week without her.
Will it hasten the day
she’ll move into assisted living,
where I won’t be allowed to see her?

Premium Member The Game Changer Chapter Four: Source Force

Unlike any other pebble thrown in the well
This one has a bombshell story to tell
Sam ran into this Jack on the trail
Jack says, stop you, Sam what in the hell
Yon mountain dew my dish I only Impale
Sam, takes a big breath then did exhale
Jack, this why your attack will fail
Love over lust will always prevail
Twisted hands yet acts still do dispel
Knowing lasting a minute Jack, he withheld
Even though his sword is gigantic fish tail
Penetrating blade, she sang perfectly fit well
Exploding an ocean from left hand rang bell
Copy cats learned the lesson well
Screaming demon bloody hell
Repeated thrust by each forces do compel
Blades sparking fires causing heat pulsating swell
Sam I am says, Jack sass I fly and sail
Matters not will I am dies in this hell’s hail

Sam, Stubbornly, Steadily, Stating
Living, Loving, Lighted, Life
Know, Knowledge, Killing, Knife
Instantly, Inspiring, Inspirational, Imagination
Fearless, Faithfully, foucking, forward

Changed frequency has
Elevated DNA
Beyond parted red sea

Yet ye, electronically sent me
Invitation conversation
Sam I am, highest mountain can
Impulse one source to keep on course
Unless mirror view gives you wrong clue
High a top alpine be clear view
Lilith’s seduction let turned loose
Incubus draining creative juice

Surfing or sailing the course
Course corrections off course
Trying to connect to the source
Dangerously drifting fighting flow
Consider this condition though
And that’s just sail where the wind goes
Is flowing with the force source code

Spring song birds and bees
Summer heat harvested treat
Fall’s before the freeze

Turn no to that which is depraved
Single solitude be course right
The light of wisdom in the dark
Brings forth understanding then know
Love yourself means love enemy
This is what it takes them to live
Sam I no matter what trail face
Power source lies into forgive

Rise so Sam I am
Vibration changing color
Loving all as one

Anchored at the base
Sam’s climb straight up mountain face
Fingers bloody bone
Dripping down mountain stone face
Ledge appears in front of cave...
