~O~
If ever there was a day,
when the song of men,
and Elves,
were to disappear.
~o~
From the face of Middle Earth,
and the hearts, and minds of,
Elves, Dwarves, and men,
it was at this time, of sorrow.
~o~
They were once,
nine Kings who,
were great and mighty,
But then from the
~o~
Black shadows rose,
Sauron, and the power of the Ring,
they wouldn't be able,
to resist.
~o~
So one by one
they were drawn to its power
and one by one
they fell.
~o~
And now they ride,
ceaselessly;
searching for the,
most Precious, the Ring of Power.
~o~
The one that their dark,
Master, wants it
just to possess it,
to conquer, and to smite with it.

-“Kindness is a language which the deaf can hear and the blind can see.”
- Mark Twain
~Authors notes:
-From my extensive file poetry collection and poems inspired by the LOTR trilogy and the Hobbit books and movies, by J.R.R. Tolkien.
"Nearly all men can stand adversity, but if you want to test a man's character, give him power."
- Abraham Lincoln -
With her ragged breath.
She said she missed the sun.
As she knew they would come.
She heard the screams from far away.
Knowing the goblins had their way.
Straw-colored hair hung to her shoulders.
Her bright green eyes blended with the forest.
She had her trusty goblin sword on her side.
It was a matter of honor to carry a sword at one's hip.
Though Brannis was the only knight who truly had one.
An "Enchanted" blade on the side of his hip, I mean.
He received the sword from his father long ago.
Upon receiving his knighthood at age fifteen.
Though his father was glad to be rid of the thing.
An heirloom from a family of sorcerers.
Who said, they had no need of it anymore?
It had always made his father uneasy to wield it.
When he first received it, with the serrated blades.
And, imprinted with the word " MASSACRE".
Though, I always thought it was a handsome piece.
With its handle carved into a fire-breathing dragon.
True, it was not often a female joined the ranks.
I felt the silent need to revenge my father's death.
That was the whole point of being out here in the goblin forest.
Alongside the other new recruits, I had to prove my worth.
I was told this was my test, a test of strength, as the king put it.
I had to prove myself, I always kept my father's shield next to my heart!
I was tired, though I knew I had to keep going to get out of this forest.
As I surely don't want to come home as a mangled warrior.
Or even worse, become dinner for the goblin king!

~ Christmas Day Is So Near ~
(Fives and Threes )
~O~
It's a nice day and
Winter's here
The days are short and the nights are very long
There's peace and all is quiet
And all around you can almost hear the sounds of Christmas now
'Cause Christmas day is only days away
Most folks are preparing their Christmas lists and looking forward with very joyful cheer
Outside the snow like fairy dust falls on the ground
Christmas shoppers hurriedly make their way to all stores, windows displays are beautiful
Children play around making snowmen
There's much joy and happiness in the hearts 'cause Jesus was born.
In just a few more days
Will be Christmas, a most beautiful time
Everywhere
Christmas trees now shine

So now Faith, Hope, and Love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is Love.
1 Corinthians 13:13 (NIV)

"Lord, make me an instrument of thy peace. Where there is hatred, let me sow love."
-Francis of Assisi-
"They say a person needs just three things to be truly happy in this world; someone to love,
something to do, and something to Hope for."
- Tom Bodette, As Far As You Can Go Without a Passport -
"More smiling, less worrying. More compassion, less judgment. More blessed, less stressed. More love, less hate."

"Success is not how high you have climbed, but how you make a positive difference to the world."
? Roy T. Bennett,
There's no other day. All days are present now. This moment contains all moments."-
- C.S. Lewis. -
A worrier cannot help but stress, when put to the test; A warrior delights in trials, that allow them to give their best; A worrier has self doubt and denies God's full control; A warrior submits to God, body, mind and soul; A worrier is anxious and uncertain of the outcome; A warrior takes rest in knowing all God's will be done; A worrier may look to God when things don't go their way; A warrior consults with God each and everyday; A worrier depends on their will and determination; A warrior depends on God through Jesus Christ's salvation; A worrier resent's and allows thoughts to turn barmy; A warrior repent's backed up by heaven's army; A worrier is afraid; A warrior is fearless; Which one will you be? A prisoner of the ways of the world or a spirit that is free? - No temporary experience, in life is a guarantee; Allow God to lead your life and control your destiny.
With ink and mind, a future bright,
In education's noble fight.
For every child, a chance to soar,
Equity's flame, forevermore.
The curriculum, a vibrant stream,
With skills for life, a modern dream.
Assessment's lens, a wider view,
Beyond the test, a world anew.
From home to school, a hand to hold,
Engage the young, their stories told.
Empowering teachers, hearts ablaze,
With knowledge shared, in countless ways.
Early seeds of literacy sown,
A love of reading, fully grown.
Mentorship's bridge, a helping hand,
Connecting minds across the land.
After the bell, the learning thrives,
With extra help where knowledge strives.
Reading's joy, a treasure sought,
In cozy corners, battles are fought.
Bridging the gap, a digital quest,
For all to learn, and put it to the test.
Data's compass, a guiding light,
To shape the future, ever bright.
Together strong, hand in hand,
With partners joined across the land.
The public voice, a chorus raised,
For education's cause, forever praised.
Let minds ignite, let voices ring,
In Literacy's Land, the children sing.
For two long years, maybe more
You lurked in hibernation, silently sleeping
Waiting for the time you reared your ugly head
The surgeons couldn’t find you
But in our hearts we knew you were there
Test after test – a waiting brief
You stole away our lives like a silent thief
Then finally they found you
Hidden away in the depths of his body
Waiting for the chance to create more damage
But finally they were ready for you
To eradicate this blight from our lives
You were no match for the robotic machine
And not the surgeon’s knife
He was there sitting behind a console
And he took away your life
Prostate cancer you are gone
And we are finally free.

~O~
I thought of the last time I saw you,
of the last time we met, I didn't have these fears,
I was so glad then to see you, how sweet to me was your last kiss,
Without you now my heart is so empty, my cheeks are so wet with my tears,
My mind re-plays back now the last time
I touched you, your love so much I still miss.
My heart and mind are so full of pain,
I don't know when I'll see you again,
I can still see your loving face even
When death has taken you from me,
As I walk alone now through this mist,
I can feel only the falling rain,
Without you my Elessar, I can't stop crying,
And I can't stop wanting you my Love.
My eyes are full of wisdom and my soul
Is now drowning in pain, I know,
I always knew one day this would happened,
But yet I can't stop missing you my Love,
Nothing would have prepared me for all this
Void in which I live, no more I am whole,
I've loved you from the beginning of time,
How can I live my life now without you?
You were the reason I stayed behind in Middle Earth,
You were my Lover, my soul-mate,
Now you're resting in peace, and I am left all alone,
Till one day we'll meet again, that day I can't wait.

Arwen deeply reflecting on her love for Aragorn after

"Nearly all men can stand adversity, but if you want to test a man's character, give him power."
- Abraham Lincoln -
From where the rest of living came to thee
Now were do you put down your head at night
Just were does sleep allow your soul to flee
Does it show thee a favorite delight
When woken will you strive to reach goals set
Does passion seem to be now quite as strong
Now what becomes right here of all you let
What will the words say in your lifelong song
Each move in life will have a cost to it
Though you may not be given it just now
It's price or cost may last after ones bit
Make gaining wisdom in life's test a vow
Give thought in all your actions ere they're through
You'll find your life to be once more renewed
Background people
They walk among us, unseen, unappreciated, invisible.
We barely know them.
Because for us, they are background.
After a while, we might wave or nod our heads.
But how many do we invite to lunch?
Do we know anything about their lives?
Do we care?
We turn to them when we need something.
Extra tutoring, to pass a test, a letter mailed or a tooth fixed.
We rarely know anything about them.
They are our background people.
In street clothes, sans uniforms, we do not recognize them.
We rarely know anything about them.
Background people.
In our lives, every day.
A smile and a wave can go a long way, but we do not realize
to us they are invisible.
~ Today Is Great ~
( The Blitz Poem )
~O~
Rise above
Rise today
Today is the time
Today is now
Now to start again
Now is the time
Time to dream
Time to accomplish things
Things you need to do
Things that are important
Important to begin
Important to continue
Continue to fight for
Continue to do each day
Day and Night
Day and every year
Year in and out
Year is now new
New and old
New beginnings
Beginnings and also endings
Beginnings can be amazing
Amazing is True Love
Amazing is Life
Life and Death
Life is Beautiful
Beautiful and mysterious
Beautiful and lovely
Lovely is Autumn
Lovely all the colors
Colors and sights
Colors are heavenly
Heavenly in my eyes
Heavenly from God above
Above and below
Above sky and earth
Earth and space
Earth we all share
Share all you can
Share with Love everyday
Everyday Dream
Everyday start again
Again and again
Again and never forget
Forget not ever
Forget what's so Great
Great just to show
Great just to give
Give
Show
