Love Notes in a Bottle
It came as a last meandering thought
How could I know?
Maybe a thousand years from now
On a far away shore
Would exist a lady of mystical lore
Reciting sonnets of medieval tales
In magic forests, dreaming of love
As I love
Who could feel a bond so delicate as a doves feathers
A pain so strong, like a tiger wronged
That to part would mean emotional low tides to come
That she could feel the loneliness of night
The scent of the morning dew
The feeling of rain upon ones breast
The smell of the rose
The view of the meadows
The Laughter as the children danced
The plea of one whose heart bleeds
The desires to capture love and yet remain free
Her eyes would show her ageless beauty
Her smile would hide her thoughts
Wrapped deep
Inside of old love letters
She would sigh
As I recited old prose
We would hand in hand repose
Knowing growing old is how it goes
Alas she is but an image in my mind
A thousand years till birth
Or even more
A fantasy, that lets me die in peace
That someone could love as I loved thee
You were my past, and my eternity
Lovers who never took flight
Broken wings, and broken borders
Boundaries never crossed
Kisses though we never lost
On every wind swept shore
I wander with the birds scouting overhead
As wave upon wave of desolation slaps my head
A woman is over there by the sea
She but a stranger in the mist
So not at all is she thee
A thousand years from now
On wind swept shore
Will she be forlorn?
Weeping for the likes of me
Whispering inside, he was here but a thousand years ago
Love letters telling loves desires
Inside a bottle and buried in sand
Alas is the ocean not made of ancient tears
It was nearly without sound,
Save a tree-brushed mountain breeze
When I rose beneath fog's blanket
And stepped lightly through the trees.
In reverence of the aura there
Subdued in temperance;
Without a word, just in tears
I offered holy reverence.
Before me in this quiet place
A lake, in still perfection,
Lay without the slightest wave;
Heaven's mirror gave reflection.
As I gazed into the glassy lake
My soul and spirit swooned
With God's creation holding me
He healed my hidden wounds.
No greater ambiance nor scene
Has since renewed my core.
I found the Prince of Peace that morn
On a pristine mountain shore.
Next, the sun began to rise
And the Quakies clapped their hands
Creation birthed a brand-new day
And I began to understand:
God is a God of perfect peace
Who in countless ways can bless
Whether heaven sent or by a stream
He gives the seeker rest.
If your world has left you wounded,
"Come unto Me, sons and daughters"
God offers early morning grace
To bless beside still waters.
Psalms 23: 2 (KJV) “He maketh me to lie down in green pastures;
He leadeth me beside still waters.”
Our hearts of love is but a fire and ice I can’t suffice
It’s a kind of love, a type thereof, with a high price
A price, I, unfortunately, cannot completely afford
Not to mention all these sick emotions that I hoard
It’s a choir unprepared, unrehearsed
It’s our secrets, somewhat dispersed
Alas, my darling, I’ve done you wrong
Burn away the remorse from my tongue
I have a couple of awful scars that won’t heal
Our secret verses in song-form are so unreal
Let God act like your kind nurse to restore you to blessed health,
Restoring grace to your life-long verse with wellness and wealth
Delight douses my weary soul all over again, making me happily blind
Midnight's might kept me with no clarity in mind, left me left behind
Shake away the dust from off your shoes of sulky filth and clearly see
You are my daily muse, a muse that will set me free, hoping extremely
It’s truly a tragedy in total reverse
It’s a gem-glowing gift or a curse
Cast away my tears in the ocean
Drown out the constant commotion
Persevere…
Have no fear…
Shed no tear…
I am here…
God is near…
Have so cheer…
I’ll hold you dear…
Hang on to hope's chandelier…
And your boat, I shall steer
Through the waters of Aphradere
Through the waters of Aphradere
Through the waters of Aphradere
Through the waters that draw near
That draw near us, I pray, yet I fear
But, He says fear no evil today and tomorrow
Today will be our tomorrow, no plans of sorrow
As we pass through, hand in hand,
The waters of Aphradere and sand
Our feet buried under, head above
God is looking after us, my love,
And your boat, I shall steer
Hang on to hope's cheer
I’ll hold you dear…
Wear joy's gear
God is near…
I am here…
Shed no tear…
Have no fear…
Persevere…
From beginning to end, my lone dear
God will end your horrid, tragic fear
It’s quite a miracle and a curse that we remain here…
In the waters of Aphredere, waterfalls do appear,
But, with His sacred, glory-engulfed guidance,
He will lead us through the waters of Aphradere
He will drown it all away with His lovely radiance
Few tears were shed when news arrived
that Lord Trevelyan had died.
One solitary wreath was laid
as shallow, feigned respects were paid.
Remote and sullen, he'd disdained
each hand of friendship, and remained
throughout his life a bitter soul
with whom no person could condole.
His lavish mansion towered still
above the village, on the hill
where shadows stalked, in pale moonlight,
all signs of life within their sight.
And curious to see inside
the house whose doors had been denied,
the villagers set forth with haste
unconscious of the doom they faced.
As ghostly clouds went scudding by
a vixen screamed its eldritch cry.
Then one by one they reached the hall:
The door slammed fast once and for all.
They stood transfixed as terror reigned
And piercing cries rang unrestrained.
No soul would dare set foot again
on Lord Trevelyan's domain.

Have you ever sat in the rain, drowned in Earth’s tears?
Have you ever screamed to the sky just for no one to hear?
Have you ever sat in silence waiting for the smoke to clear?
Have you ever been thrown to face all your biggest fears?
Would you believe me if I said I was abandoned at three?
Would you believe me if I said violence was nothing new to me?
Would you believe me if I said my absent father stayed away?
That I’d get hit by my mom every time I disobeyed?
Would you believe if I said that my stepdads had their way?
Especially the one that scarred me to this day?
Do you think that I grew up without any friends?
They either moved away or played lie and pretend
I sat there wishing for a better childhood
Section 8 housing kinda shook my livelihood
And getting into trouble was the likelihood
I’d dream of the day I’d move to Hollywood
Every betrayal and lie is what’s keeping me wise
But it keeps me mistrustful of every single guy
Like a CIA archive sitting right between my eyes
I’m keeping tabs on yall like an international spy
My whole life I’ve been pushing against a current
Being treated all my life like I’m everybody’s servant
Being lied to by loved ones is what’s keeping me observant
Cuz I recognize those snake eyes in every single serpent
No one knows about me here,
Alone with me, myself and I –
I have no urge to cry
No one knows what I feel…
I feel hope and no fear
Making a little effort to belong…
No, I’m not that shy…
Silence slithers into my skin…
But I am calm and reserved
I didn’t deserve all of these unfortunate dilemmas
Staring onto space…
Accepting this disgrace
Embrace the beauty of grace
I’m left with a trace of your angelic face
Empathy be to me, for I am fatigued and cold
All of the sudden, feeling extremely cold
Echoes of the past reminiscences reach my ears
Please be kind to a forlorn individual
I’m as dry as a raisin and I’m reduced to these useless tears for years
Don’t pick a fight with me – I’m not willing to win the dual…
Silence slithers into my skin…
But I am calm and reserved
I didn’t deserve all of these unfortunate dilemmas
Staring onto space…
Accepting this disgrace
Embrace the beauty of grace
I’m left with a trace of your angelic face
Empathy be to me, for I am fatigued and cold
All of the sudden, feeling extremely cold
You hurt me in the process
Numb the distress
Ruined by pangs of darkness
Your diamond necklace shines in the sun
But, my work will not be done
The journey of our lives has just begun
Silence slithers into my skin…
But I am calm and reserved
I didn’t deserve all of these unfortunate dilemmas
Staring onto space…
Accepting this disgrace
Embrace the beauty of grace
I’m left with a trace of your angelic face
Empathy be to me, for I am fatigued and cold
All of the sudden, feeling extremely cold
Staring into space, imagining racing horses,
Trampling down the sorrow of yesterday’s tomorrow
Falling behind without a smear of gladness
In the reflection of my eyes of oceans and spaces…
Leaving it without a trace...forgetting to tie my shoelaces
Silence slithers into my skin…
But I am calm and reserved
I didn’t deserve all of these unfortunate dilemmas
Staring onto space…
Accepting this disgrace
Embrace the beauty of grace
I’m left with a trace of your angelic face
Empathy be to me, for I am fatigued and cold
All of the sudden, feeling extremely cold
Silence has abandoned me
I’m like an orphan that weeps bitterly
Staring into space…space…space…
Prayin for God’s everlasting grace…
Trying to keep pace on this treacherous race
“To ponder is to wander-
midst memories and yonder.”
__by Poet
I oft ride down my dear memory lane-
recalling those that filled up special years,
to ponder, safeguard those which I retain-
that show my smiles still winning over tears.
I do remember childhood days with joy,
and, reminiscing on my family,
I recollect the ways they helped employ
to shape my life- then pass to me the key.
Nostalgically, I search in retrospect
and call to mind the gifts I leave behind
reflecting all the ways I could connect
accepting strength to foster peace of mind.
I ponder life as I look through this scope-
expand their gifts of love, with faith, and hope.
Cracked moonlight caresses every carnation flower,
While my sight sees a salty sea seven miles away from here .
The moon burns to ashes as the old ocean grows golden with every growing hour,
I can see a ball of fire rising from the higher mountains far from near .
Hypnotized , mesmerized are these dazzling deer's eyes,
In the woods, on the wood, sits a sparrow chirping to the hottest sun in the sky.
So soft is this ball of fur, as appealing as it is when a human lies ,
But a Grizzly, what an irony! , oh it's cuteness! , a hug and you die.
The artist might be short of the variety of paint , so he made it as green as it could be ;
Or he wasted his palette of colors on that rainbow after a pouring day.
Cotton on the land , cotton in the sky , as cottony as it could be ;
Oh yes! a sapphire , no just a crystal of snow , after getting struck by a sun ray.
A cute chameleon, changing colors, a camouflage , like a cruel human does to his pal;
and then a body wrapped in a newspaper, black and white strips eating leaves,
Oh what a beauty! , a sleeping beauty , a sloth sleeping by the Sal;
everybody wants it , but not everybody gets it , yes! this is where peace lives .
To the Jungle , yes in the wild woods , I wish I were an animal with hair and no clothes ;
'Cuz they might be naked , but they don't wear clothes of lies and hypocrisy.
Fake faulty tears and true terrible lies , they don't take false oaths ;
Yes in the forest , where peace is the emperor , there ain't absolute autocracy , painful plutocracy and devilish democracy .
It was morning when my cat Fluffy meowed a warning for on our porch was a
stray cat his fur a tattered mat but his one blue eye spoke to me . . . and my
heart broke. Oh, how he growled and hissed too late, for my soul had been
kissed and each day "Grumpy Cat" was on my porch waiting yet, I could not
catch him and that was very frustrating ! Finally, I was able to catch him and
bring him inside my home. He never left. A bath revealed a brown tabby. We
developed a bond so deep and meaningful and I have lots of stories to tell.
The years passed too quickly and soon Grumpy was a very old cat, feeble and
weak, until his last day in my arms and with tears and a kiss I had to let go.
I was cold and scared, rejected by the world, shivering on your covered porch;
but you did not chase me away but you brought me food, at first I hissed a lot,
so you named me Grumpy cat ! Eventually, we shared unconditional love each moment. You cannot save me mommy, I suffer from old age. I love you. Will
be waiting at the end of rainbow bridge ! As I draw my last breath I am within
your shining love ... First Draft 2012, Been trying to write this since.
I have been accepting
that I lost my courage to be vulnerable,
and I hovered over words that would not flow,
For my emotional tsunami hides in the insufferable,
I was just afraid to let this ache inside me go.
My stygian soul then scheduled my mental breakdown
And the photosynthesizes of my overwhelming pain,
I have established that in this
psychological baptism I drown,
But to grow is to immerse
in my sacrifice and appertain,
Should I allow myself to break into small pieces,
then composition myself with love
and become a Kintsugi soul?
My fearless spirit encapsulates a warrior
in the world of Ulysses,
So I unboxed my Worth and discovered my Hope,
To understand my veracity is to feel it in my core,
That running only tires the internal child
who is weeping,
Those tears power my garden of humanity
while being restored,
Unearthed healing from truth
in the eternal spring of the reaping.
