Alice lay reflecting on the adventures she had
The characters she met there - good and bad
The lessons she learned in Wonderland,
The tea party that wasn't so grand...
Once again she began to ponder
What about life outside Earth and beyond her?
A sudden gust blasted open her door
And swept her away to the unknown once more!
And what would dear Alice this time face?
A journey up and away through outer space.
To her shock and dismay, no stars were close.
A vast dark void made her feel morose.
Although she felt this time would be wasted
She was about to face more than she anticipated!
She saw a faint ring and she felt a pull
Drawing her into the not so dull.
She whooshed through the wormhole with awe and surprise
The colours, the magic, filling her eyes!
Her frocks fabrics latched on to a box.
The speed through this hole stole her shoes and socks.
She zigged. She zagged. And she blacked out.
She felt hands hold her cheeks and she heard a shout.
"Are you okay? I'm The Doctor, and you?"
"Where am I Doctor? Doctor...Who?"
"Just the Doctor,' he answered with a Cheshire Cat grin,
'You got caught on my TARDIS so I let you in."
"My name is Alice. Are you related to Hatter?
Or the Knave of Hearts? Well, it doesn't matter."
"I've read about you!' He excitedly stated.
'This is amazing! And for you, I've waited."
"For me?' Alice asked. 'I don't understand..."
"Why Alice, you've been in Wonderland!
You're not afraid to ask questions, nor a stranger to change.
You've been out of your world in the realms of strange.
The TARDIS and I need a companion like you.
For you've no fear of the bizarre and new.
Join me now on a galactic quest.
Discover forms, explore planets you'll like the best.
The Daleks and Cybermens egos brood.
One of the friendliest kinds are the Ood.
I've travelled far, many eras away
From what once was my homeland - Gallifrey.
Oh yes young Alice, your mind will expand
With the universe in the reach of your hand!
When the time is right, then back you'll go
To your part of Earth that you think you know."
Night wrinkles on dim hangers;
bell-bottom pants
two-toned platform shoes
a wide `kipper' tie.
In a pocket
a crumpled Kodachrome -
hot pants and velvet neck-choker.
‘Who is she?’
This closet is a time machine
I exited decades ago.
Dreaming hands part a frilled dress shirt
from its sky-blue tuxedo.
A stripy tank-top.
dances badly to ‘Brown Sugar’
damn you Mike Jagger
you created a monster.
There’s a rum and coke stain
floating like a ghost
through fading threads.
Time, now exhausted,
falls back onto a pillow
the wardrobe trembles like a Tardis
then disappears
into its blue police box
where every garb ever worn
still fits.
Who are you?
I am a hairy hippy, I glitter,
and Jesus Christ is still a Super Star.
She’s a sexy girl who won’t let me sleep.
Wire hangers rattle in the dark
a metallic laughter.
Nerves jiggle restless legs.
I’m a secret watcher of Dr. Who, but now you know, and his tardis is bigger on the inside as the cult following knows. So much philosophy, such as we look much smaller on the outside. It is as if “The Doctor” lives inside his brain as do us poets always imagining something greater...something bigger. And yet we can also reduce something to its smallest component and expound it. We look at a seed, climb inside its shell and see the universe. We keep walking in and out of our world, amazed at its nonconformity to our idea of reality. We see a box, color it blue...just blue the teacher says as she points with a ruler and slams down hard on your knuckles. Persnickety self says “black and blue.” The teacher points “out” and you gladly climb back into your roomy cocoon. A butterfly emerges with Queen Alexandra wings that land on the teachers hair, taunting her, beating her at her game of “inside the lines.”

Giant ornaments like tumbleweeds, like eye popping bubbles, boisterously released in London streets. Like giant lightweight bowling balls that cavort out of their lanes. The breeze plays volleyball, indeterminate who’s winning. The kids’ winning for sure. Follow the bouncing baubles, unravelling revelation of holiday spirit. Celebration in the streets off to a fa-la-la start.
If this was an episodic Doctor Who, those orbs would mean trouble’s steamrolling in. The tardis’ on high alert. It’s always London! The doctor’s enigmatic scrutiny of exploding rounds and Santas showing up. They’ve weapons too. Watch out! Don’t worry! The Doctor will save you.

I dream of you
(Until we meet again)

Every time I dream of you
And how much I want you near
There across the world in China
A bicycle appears
Now there are millions of bicycles
Lying sad and alone in a mountain heap
And still we are so far apart
I wonder if I should get more sleep
Maybe I'll dream of a Tardis
And infiltrate the Matrix
After all, anything is possible
So, I can combine any equations
I could move through doorways and worlds
I could appear beside you anytime
We could have many more great adventures
And not be separated by space or time
Or maybe I could dream of a new universe
One where we can share magical lives
Where unicorns and rainbow waterfalls
Are all part of our everyday existence
Anything is possible
Yet I am here and you are there
Perhaps we need to follow these paths
And accept there's a greater plan to share
Your hemisphere needs you
And mine clearly needs me
We spread Joy and Happiness
Peace and Freedom
We embody Love and Light
Stardust and Magic
So, I shall dream my dreams
Until we're meant to happen
No more bicycles
No more Matrix
I shall float with the Angels
And keep you free and safe
I'll send you unicorns
I'll send you faeries
Sparkles and inspiration
So you know that I'm near
And on your path you'll see
Up ahead a sign from Heaven
Angels will guide our souls
Until we meet again

My vessel is ink on folded pages;
I don’t need TARDIS* or a Wayback Machine*~
my words alone bend time, each line stretching moments
into constructed poems that create a time dilation.
I travel freely, unbound by time or place~~
my pen is my sextant, guiding the course of my thoughts.
I hitch rides on comet trails, crawl through worm holes,
and write poems on the strata of extinct volcanoes.
I disappear, traveling backward on a filament of myth,
landing softly in the ruins of ancient cities,
slipping into ancient dust and the sound of bronze,
tasting the abhorrent ash of forgotten fires,
recording the tenor of moments lost to history.
I leap ahead on metaphor’s swift stream,
glimpsing the future and tasting the sterile air
of generations I will never physically meet,
documenting futures that might still be avoided.
I move through time never aging,
returning to the present, a silent witness,
to fragile cities built of glass and vapor
burdened with visions and heavy truths.
No passports stamped, no customs declared.
I leave no quantum footprint, only ink~
the residue of my translocation
depositing strange knowledge on folded pages.
*The Wayback Machine was a fictional time travel device from "Peabody's Improbable History" allowing users to travel to any point in history. TARDIS was a time-traveling spaceship from "Doctor Who," known for its exterior resembling a British police box. (Source: denofgeek.com)
…speaking different languages
do you think we might have the capacity within the brain to speak every language
Now, did, eye.mean, coma
Shap rep
Bee May
After June
Coming the other weigh
Weight
Wait watt
I am kinda hoping this is someone else’s dream
and everything begins to fade
If the Brian is so clever
Y didn’t give itself a better name
I like America but in these poverty stricken days
They should stop Elon letting off fireworks
Before I die I hope I see Kermit as President
Fozzie as the vice
His first act to make bestiality legal
Did game controllers get there influence from atop
the Teletubbies head
What would the first question you would ask if another voice started talking inside
If I read a dictionary have I read every book ever written
It looked like a crevice
It’s orange glow tendrilled it’s way over
the jagged undulating rock face
Behind thin strand of twisted iron ore stood a misshape each of its limbs holding
some torturous medieval weapon.
The keeper of the key
a sub demon
with only one purpose
let the souls pass
I am really gonna spoil his day
Let me explain
Exampling my Brian
So I saw a picture while I was writing this
and that last bit was what I thought
then this bit is me explaining that
Escape a differ cult
It was easy
See if thought doesn’t come from within but
without you then who are we speaking to inside
If time doesn’t exist are we always late or always early
If you say Doctor Who backwards it sounds like the Tardis taking off
Hands up how many of you tried to make it fit
Brian tire go now
One Pill Or A Dozen
The world I see is tainted by life
Drugs cause me to be paranoid
Natural herbs the government made illegal
Pills to improve my mood
Other that brings me crashing down to Earth
A reality of flashing colored lights
Swirling around my mind
They block the real world from my reality
How many will make me feel pleasure?
One pill may be too few
A dozen maybe too many
Chemicals mixing in my blood
Rushing into my paralyzed brain
Is the music I see real?
Are the colors I hear coming from nowhere?
Pink baby alligators dancing in the street
Doctor Who wearing a paisley skirt walks toward me
The Tardis has brightly colored polka dots of yellow and purple
They dance to the rhythm of the falling stars
Then the world fades away
Buildings and people turn into clouds
They blow away into a black velvet hurricane
I lie on the bed with my eyes clinched
Sweating and crying as my reality disappears
I call to The Doctor but he isn’t real
I crash back to Earth in a bloody heap
My eyes open and I see my bedroom
I will wait here for an eternity
At least it will feel like an eternity
Until I get another pill
Or maybe a dozen
And I leave again
Into my own reality
The reality where I am happy
At least until I die
"... what I said was, The Tardis... and I'm the heir..."
Much more on the inside than you could ever imagine...
and Siriusly sweet with a passion
The juice in my Driver
is a River in tune
"... light speed isn't quite
what you envision..."
but it's faster than a broom
I'd say
And a smoother ride too,
you can cruise
on the inside and choose
any mind for a wind
you can be
and you can find
any one thing
in any amount of time...
I figure all you'd need
are the keys
and these,
appear
to be
mine...
"... screwdrivers are outdated
to traveling time
any way..."
