The Constitution states that Americans have the right to bear arms
Yet it doesn't specifically mention guns which have caused so much harm
I believe guns should be eradicated and tasers or stunners put in their place
The type of arms which don't have the ability to wipe out the human race
And to those who worship guns I hope they will finally see
That guns don't give anyone a status of superiority
And if you desire to go out to hunt use an arrow and bow
Even the playing field with the prey you want to take down low
The right to bear arms which can be any weapon that one can use in defense
A knife, a bat or even sword doesn't that make more sense?
And as long as we allow guns to remain in peoples hands
Mass killings will keep happening in this nation on which we stand
Who I ask will conquer evil?
Shall it be a King?
Shall it be a General?
Maybe a roman emperor in Nero’s robes?
A Knight
Men at arms, defending what’s right?
For millennium many have tried
To bring good will and peace
Upon us all
Defenders of interests, many would say
Yet here we falter, as masses still die
Lennon in grave still ponders why
Prophecies of faith, are seeds that grow slow
The universe has time, for us human kind to learn
That wealth is not gold or silver or pearls’ so white
We fight battles, for lines we draw in the sand
All in the name of honor, the past and Clan
We must share what we have and honor all, in these lands
Will Buddha or Gandhi bring us this peace?
Can they fight without sword or men at arms?
The secrets to life are hidden in view
For it’s your child who will be savior
Of one and all
For the meek shall truly conquer
When a mother stands up against invading tanks
When a child says no to soldiers with arms
When children dance in the streets with joy
Against the war drums that beat nearby
It’s these small acts, which will win the day
Victory will be Malala's way
Never be fooled by a smile so dear
The meek shall be the army
To inherit this earth
Love truly will conquer all
You for sure shall witness all, as I say
From here or the heavens above
the tattoo on her eyebrow frowned
at the sight of yesteryear’s cutlass
the well-rounded blade had become
blunt dull and worn down from overuse
and yet straight to the point of salvation
the pain cut unceremoniously deep
like a double-edged sword that
protracted the kill in anticipation
of slicing from a lacerated mind
saw teeth serenaded an ode to demise
one more incision and the blood flow
would take her across the river of tears
lacerated dreams punctured and carved into
her epitaph a forgone pleasant conclusion
the point of no return loomed un-capriciously
her wounds had festered in purulent beauty
and she appealed to her inner resolve
why prolong the inevitable release
and she was calm with no tremor
as she faced the extinction of terror
her glance fell upon the scalpel
next to the toothbrush and lather
and the mirror liked what it saw
cracked glass a few shards missing
a borrowed fantasy and reflection
of a bloody life unwanted as she
pondered upon what message
to inscribe on her tombstone
the shower curtain ready for a last splash
cheered her on ‘don’t you worry’
‘I’m easy to clean the mess will abide’
grout bleach and tiles lured a whitewash
and the toilet brush smiled in applause
cacophonous bristles caked in foul smell
took her closer to the crappy memories
which had darkened a life not worthy
of living and she let out a flatulent moan
ultimate and terminal the fizz pounced
and she gripped the rapier with
surgical precision and intricate joy
then Occam’s razor pleaded for parsimony
and she went back to self-laceration
prolonged suicide suited agony’s hurt
much better than a knife in her heart

SUPERNOVA
Stars can't shine without darkness
God has a purpose for your pain,
A reason for your struggles,
A reward for your faithfulness.
Save the rope and leave the dope,
Take a life, run the mile,
Execute the thought
Let the Hades' voice wane
Don't pull the plug now
See the end until life is over,
Still be the supernova.
When it shines so bright
It's at the expense of explosion
Many lives depends on this life,
Generations wait endlessly to drink
From the steep ocean called YOU
To suck from your milk and honey soul
Not to sing the graven song and so
Give hope for tomorrow
Better days will surely follow.
They laugh at you because you're different?
Laugh at them because they're the same
Never bow to those ephemeral gods,
They will fade into shades,
Ignore the names, rise above the blames
Stir your flames, set ablaze the shame
Don't turn swords into ploughshares
Glory is concealed underneath
The veil of mist over the hills,
Way to glory is through the furnace
It's never a Cinderella on ice
But knocked hard by the rod
Not to be knocked-out
But beaten and banged to shape
The iron does not know
Until it becomes the envy,
The cynosure of all eyes,
To honour and to cherish;
A Samurai sword of valour
Shinning with blaze of glory and power,
That is who you are!

Panagiota Romios
She ignores her pain and waltzes
on tiptoes on billowing clouds
She hugs the sun and the crowds
of stars with the moon above
as she walks this earth loving God
with all her being a world of many faults
She lets her breath of golden sun
whisper words before the serene
ardent night that slumbers, dreaming
with cautious, academic mien
allowing her pen flow, not just one,
with sunshine and meaning.
With her might black ink sword,
she, a knight defending against a hoard
of critics with the Armour of the Lord
She is a loyal friend I've never met
except in her words, how can I forget
She brightens my day with her soul speaking.
Allow yourself to know her with bless feelings.

Experiencing strength and hope
During these tribulant times when I need to cope
With these mixed emotions within
To clear away the loss within a win
You don’t want to know what goes through my muse
You don’t want to know what flows into my mindless blues
If you are considerate enough,
Tell me life will be less rough...
I’m tough-skinned and strong
All along, I want to belong
I don’t want to be in the wrong...in His sight
Because I want to be right
With God with utmost might
Tonight, I want to fly away oh so very high
So I can be vigilant and joyous, oh I’ll try...
With God with utmost might
Because I want to be alright
I don’t want to be left behind once more —rest assured I’d be less bored
Or else I’d be struck by negativity’s shameful sword
All along, I have been sore due to being ignored...
The one I adore is the word of the Lord
I’ve made improvements in my life
I’ve made progress away from strife
I’ve persuaded myself to move forward
Never looking back like a liberty bird
Never looking backward and looking inward, now looking outward
I noticed progress in your life of confidence and shame
I can’t quite express this feeling inside and I’m the one to blame
I’m sorry if I seem like I’m ignoring you so
Romancing and reminiscing remorseful wars though
I owe you
The seeds of wonder sown into my land
The deep well of true feel I'm drawn into
The height and breadth of visions that expand
The magic of music, a deep world view.
You awe me!
A book of Truth, its flavours and tempers
A brush of colours that sketches and rhymes
A radiating flame bursting from embers
A sword of thoughts with sweet Nature aligns.
I owe you
The new Smile, the Spring time, the blazing verve
The thrill of the heart, the mine of countless spaces
The thirst for verses of instinct and nerve
The Muse of genuine Art one embraces.
You awe me!
Nature, your beloved.. your sanctified creed
The love declaration to pen Juliet!
God's purest Gift, of verse a devotee
The silence of mountains is your asset.
The wagging tongue, a weapon is,
when vengeful words like arrows whizz.
They pierce the heart and wound the soul,
No surgeon's stitch can heal the hole.
Sharp words can wound and cut like a sword,
and make one feel like they have been gored.
What harm is done by spiteful speech,
When weapon words their target reach.
Like sparks that kindle forest fires,
are words that leave the lips of liars.
They betray trust and sear the soul,
leaving scars that are black as coal.
The tongue is a source of death or life,
So do not use it like a knife.
Make it your goal to praise and bless,
with every phrase your lips express.
If the tiny tongue you do not tame
It will rule your life and bring you shame.
Like the small rudder which steers a ship,
Your wagging tongue will make you trip.
Lightest silver I ever did feel, a precious heirloom that owns God's seal
it was gifted from a night table, but given from heaven from my dad
He found his place among stars and angels, with wings of solid teal
I know that I will never forget him nor his lessons of joy then sad
He was my father on earth, during this journey of transitional wheel
I know that I can be a better man if I claim my place among the few
watch the throngs of movie pushers fight for honor and prestige
And when my time will come to shine I will do it with a humble crew
she will be there by my side rejoicing with dance like a dervish dirge
I will love the moment but I will not get lost in accolades of YOU ***
Light as silver this rosary that father bequeathed without a single word
it was taken from his nightstand a memory of his sad and broken story
Still we had moments of pure bliss, still we lived aside truth n' sword
we were so different him and I, there were days I never got the glory
still he was my dad, and I am sad he is gone, and that is my story
Silver moments watching mom struggle with her loss, she just rolls
truffles of peaceful moments, she breathes as she ties loose ends
Days go by, I feel the world is righting for our grief stricken souls
Bead upon bead mantra whispers as I try to make amends
so on so forth I go in, not knowing what is around the bend
The End.
Written for my Adam, with love, Mom
Can you hear it?
The rhythms beating,
pulsing upon the ground
boots trampling dirt as
they march towards war.
Can you feel it?
The innocents cry for blood
bloodlust for the enemy thrumming
in each and every chest
as they shout for war!
Do you fear it?
Watching your father march
to the rhythms of his comrades
with no time for a goodbye
while your mother holds you
back against the rhythms
drawing you towards the sword.
Do you miss it?
The thrum of violence
Beating wildly upon
Your chest. The pulse
of drums now a whisper
replaced by the distant screams
of the damned.
