Hit Home

6/29/17

This is more than lyrical
And spiritual
Nothing short of a miracle

Eventually this all just may hit home
Whether or not it was written in stone
Regarding everything that isn't and is known

No matter where you are, always another nipping at the heels
Near and far from waters with eels
As well as entrances that are airtight or with a broken seal
I'm not going to apologize for speaking honestly and being real
Don't try to blame me for the way you feel

Doing my best to be prepared
While well aware
From here to there and anywhere
It does no good if you never care
In a world that is not always fair

Can't always be decoded
Or sugarcoated
Something that should be duly noted

I'm not doing trickery
Truly this is me
Not no mystery
Someday I'll be history
Regardless if people consider it a loss or victory

Premium Member The Charmer

He could charm anyone
His words
So sweet
The sentiments
Such treats
Tasty
Divine
So fine
He was a charmer

He left behind trails
Of sugared words
That lead up to his home
Made up of candy
Ever so dandy
Enticing
Making the visitor want to take a bite
Sugarcoated delight
Cotton candy rhymes
That would melt in the mouth

But, oh, what is this?
Something spoils the bliss

In a minute or two
A taste different, new
Sweet turns to bitter
Words turn vile
And there goes the smile
Tears melt the cotton candy
Making it gritty, sandy
The truth is out
It’s a house made of doubt

He was such a charmer
But he was really a harmer
Whose candy was striped
With the blood of the hearts
Of those he’d left behind

Sugarcoated

I'm a wreck wrapped up in black velvet, an angel with wings burned to ash,
I carry every sin of this world like a coat I can never take off,
I think I'm untouchable, like a full moon that burns without ever being consumed,
I live inside a circle of smoke, and past it, only frozen, blind silence.

I don't care about anyone, I fight wars only with my shadow in the mirror,
My life has been a road of broken glass, not velvet, just ash and dust,
I live off crumbs of hope and off the norms that keep me caged,
I fly without wings through a hallucinated dream where everything feels like heresy.

I sell two stories with one tongue, like a snake with scales of silk,
My truth is dressed up in sugar, a sweet lie that leaves no trace,
My words are colored smoke slipping through the cold, distant stars,
Only in some lost corner of my mind do I still know what it means to be real.

But there was one time my tongue didn't lie, didn't wrap anything in fog,
I said that I had loved, and that word was my only ray of morning light,
Everything else is just fake stardust, just theater played out in the dark,
But that love stays pure, a lighthouse that never dims, a fairy-tale mystery.

Even if they lay me in a coffin, cold earth pressed against my chest,
Even if I become just ashes and shadow beneath the grass growing tall and straight,
That truth will stay carved into my bones, eternal and alive,
The one thing I will never change, not even in the emptiest of sleep.

Premium Member Stardust Serenade

I’m a wild tulip, bending but
breathing beneath
a star-burnished breeze,
skimming the blazing
silk of supernova dust,
as sirens ricochet through
honeyed silence,
as though no dream has forgotten
the music of my muse,
whilst I sip from
       the sky of ethereal ink:
his skin ~ my orbit,
his eyes ~ my ocean,
his lips ~ my universe,
pulling me to the
depths of desire,
for our light sings amidst
stillness that floats through ~
like an aquatic garden,
where water orchestrates
tides of temptation
and trembling tercets,
composing currents
            of careful devotion…

O mystical moon,
must I serenade the sparks
that bloom beneath
your cosmic gaze?
I feel the astral frequency
of galaxies within veins,
like whimsical waves touching
the shifting shades
of shimmering silver,
whilst I remain apologetic
for the erased cadence of charm,
unlearned in quietness
amidst unseen constellations,
quivering in sync
with the quintessence
of quenched vows…

I was never a promised island ~
but a forgotten home,
with walls aching to be heard
beyond avoidant acrylics,
framed in rhinestone regrets.

So take me ~ twirl me,
like a swirling sapphire
carrying chaos of celestial flickers,
twisting and teasing
through traveling time of tornadoes…

Forgive me, as I relinquish
the mythical waterfalls,
their addictive affections
falling too fleetingly
for Capricorn captivation.

I am more than a mere vanilla version
of a vision illustrated in loneliness,
sugarcoated in rose-ruffled mists,
when dusk itself
drowned in drumbeats of disarray…

Joyous, generous, kindhearted, marvelous, musically talented, and handsome with self-esteem issues - placing my feet in other people's shoes to experience and feel their hues of blues

Wonderful, crazy cool, chaotically peaceful, mellowly untamed, lost, but found...God's chosen child to fulfill His word somehow...someday, prosperity, fame, and fortune will surround me...success at my finger tips, getting my man grips as I mend friendships with God's advice, corrections and tips in mind...letting time unwind, wishing that my daydreaming come true by actions and interactions

Essence of faith fibers...good and bad traits shape my inner and outer being...meeting new zealous horizons that embrace change, which is a challenging chore and oh so much more
Awesome good apple of the bunch and God's mild, wild child...a poet and lyricist that had his verses erased online or misplaced in who-knows-where
Rapt up in rue, yet a light to this world of woe...my mission is to fulfill God's Word - His tranquil truth is not sugarcoated by deceptive lies
Not afraid to speak my mind through verses and lyrics
Introvert and extrovert...shy in person at first, then I open up confidently and jabber on and on 24/7...I do listen to others' point of view, but I have a lot to say about a lot of things that has to do with writing, singing, music, etc. - anything goes as long as I go my own flow and His flow, not anyone else's flows that are in unison in rows to and fro...I make friends and foes, but I love all - fat or skinny, small or tall
Nostalgic nights and delightful days inspire me to engage in writing and singing day in and day out without a smear of doubt...no sleep placed in eyelids tonight, so I'm fighting the mighty fight
Gracious and glorious...kinda lazy, yet so busy all the time in all aspects of life - bipolar is the condition I have...and an indecisive, yet creative-logical Gemini
So picky, yet forgiving and eccentric elegantly...a handsome soul that's full of humility and modesty in all honesty...I have a young heart that is of bliss, XO and art

Even I wonder do I buy what I'm
selling, is it the devil's voice but it's
my choice to listen, but there's
harm in searching but that's a lie,
and those lukewarm religious folks
who just lie there there are lying in
a pool of their own ignorance, seek
and ye shall find so if you don't go
out looking you dealt yourself your
own death sentence, if I'm wrong I
repent but there's no way this is it, I
know that this Holy script I follow
isn't as hallow because men sought
fit what would and wouldn't be
suitable for would be Christians to
take in, so it's our job to chase
Elohim despite if they want us to
meddle in this faith is not
something that I'm to ready to settle
in, especially when it seems on the
other side of the world Christianity
looks different, if we're all brothers
and sisters then why do we run
different races in the faith, too
many questions I don't have the
answers to they want us to believe
with this sugarcoated western faith
that the sky is always blue, so
untrue. So as I conclude this I do
know the harvest is full but the
laborers are few

Suga-coated Remorse

Godly Wisdom, knowledge, and understanding
Is the precious Purpose for mankind
Don’t give me lies and sugarcoated remorse
Meandering in my mindset — let’s be kind cuz I’m left behind, my mind…

There’s a divine sign above the doves align
Love of mine…love of mine…love of mine…
You’re doing fine in my utmost design
You’re my type of shine…shine…shine…

The Holy Spirit and the word of God
Satan the devil is quite a fellow so odd
Witchcraft warped my wretched mindset
I regret everything and I’m hella upset…all farewells met…to a hello in debt…I bet, now…somehow… I’m wet with unregret…

My heart of ripped-apart from the start calls to me inevitably
My art of broken spirits and all acquaintances unconditionally
God’s Kingdom come…
What have I become? So numb?

Slit my wrists of rapid warmth
Of blood dripping in a swarmth
Coagulate crimson on my tongue
Rung the song sung from my tongue

I want to be put to death to enliven my soul again
I want to mend me all over again — where you been?
Then again,
I cower in my den

My stomach is sour with remorse…I need a guilt divorce
Of course, you’re happy — you galloping, swirling horse
Pride and humility and envy mix in one pot
I am but a robot…I am giving it the best I got

Trials and tribulations give me five frustrations that funk my brain up

Shut up and listen, my medicine
Let your eyes and ears aglisten
Where the hell have I been?
Am I willing to forgive again?

Have mercy upon my good-luck trails
Have mercy on my terrifically terrible trials

Difficulties Arise

It's difficult to function
In the midst of destruction
Peace, come to us in time of need
Give graciously, wave 'bye to greed

Let me function all on my own
Your devices are going to crumble...down...
Get me out of this cage of alone
Your malice chases away the humble...in this strange town...

Peace gives graciously to the needy
Chaos takes away hope from the greedy
It's difficult to function in the midst of destruction
It's not your fault I have lost my direction due to assumption

Silence overthrows the ominous, nostalgic night
Daylight dawns upon me with such luminous light
Don't fence me in with your love again
Follow my footsteps to the unknown; for I, alone, will find where you been

Fade away the faithless hues of gray between us
Know that we are together in this on the same bus
Hatred will never shower down regret and distrust upon our love boat
Shameful dread and sorrow will not be our tomorrow's raincoat

It's difficult to function
In the midst of affliction
I'm marrying the utmost, marvelous joy in my aching heart before it shatters apart
I'm divorcing the many disdainful and painful trains of thought from the start

It's difficult to function
In the midst of destruction
If there really is a sweet heaven above,
Will You shower upon us eternal love?

It's complicated to figure a way out
Of your desolate dungeon
It's hard to make a difference, with no doubt,
Under pressure times a dozen

Difficulties arise...difficulties arise...lowering our highs
Much like the brink of morning's radiant, yet resonating sunrise
Saw it right through your eyes, in your moonlit, sunset eyes -
The gracious truth beneath the hideous lies...boy, how time flies
The lies of society are sugarcoated with lullabies and goodbyes
But, still, we will share the lovely unity of our low-deprived highs

Finally, God answered our prayers and why's
He answered each and every one of our cries
Difficulties arise as we try to function in our hopelessness
We cannot avoid the fact that we are always together in this

Guided Under Pressure

I'm sorry for all the stupid things I've done
I guess I'll leave now before the break of dawn
You made me love you, but that didn't last too long
You belong with me or so I thought while writing this sad song

I'm a terrible guy with a broken heart
Strengthen me before I shatter apart
I'm such a fool for believing in your fairytale stories
Now, I'm left behind and lost in the blemishes of my allegories

Have you been led astray?
What can I say?
Did I make your day?
or did I reduce you to utter dismay?
I apologize
For bringing tears in your eyes
And for telling you sugarcoated lies
Now, I'm frozen in place forever in your goodbyes

I'm alone again in my room of gloom
I suppose I'll try to be happy and like a flower in full bloom
You made me fall short, but I'll get up and be renewed once more
You wronged me and I did you wrong too - I don't know what for

I'm a terrible guy with a broken heart
Strengthen me before I shatter apart
I'm such a fool for believing in your fairytale stories
Now, I'm left behind and lost in the blemishes of my allegories

Have you been led astray?
What can I say?
Did I make your day?
or did I reduce you to utter dismay?
I apologize
For bringing tears in your eyes
And for telling you sugarcoated lies
Now, I'm frozen in place forever in your goodbyes

I'm caught up in the current of my bottomless emotions
Guide me to a faraway place called Peaceful Splendor...guide me away from the many commotions
You pretend that you had nothing to do with me
I can see right through you as you can clearly see

I'm a terrible guy with a broken heart
Strengthen me before I shatter apart
I'm such a fool for believing in your fairytale stories
Now, I'm left behind and lost in the blemishes of my allegories

Have you been led astray?
What can I say?
Did I make your day?
or did I reduce you to utter dismay?
I apologize
For bringing tears in your eyes
And for telling you sugarcoated lies
Now, I'm frozen in place forever in your goodbyes

I see you crystal clear in my shimmering vision
You handle me with such delicate precision
I'm under pressure and I don't know exactly what to say or do
I've been writing this down with a smile and a frown - that, I did so true
Guide me away from here...
Lead me away from fear...
Guide me with utmost cheer...
Happiness and hope will surely appear!

Tomorrow

I've been unfaithful
A complicated person...
I've been uninventful
A sick son of a gun...

I did you so much harm
So, I want to keep you warm
In my arms tonight...so out of sight
In my embrace of everything's alright

Darling, why do you act like I'm nobody special
My dear, how come you ignore me on the roll?
I guess I've lost it all...
While you gain an epic fall

I lost so much poetry in the past...in the oopsidaisy past
I can't write them down the way they used to be
I have almost lost control as my heart beats fast
I can't fly without wings of flight unless you set me free

You rumble and growl like thunder
Beneath my feet, there's an odd blur
You fumble and stumble, yet you act so reserved and humble and go about your day like a bumble bee...
While I, like a cat, climb up a tree

I am lonely like crazy...
You are a floating daisy
I am a daydreamer in a daze
While you feed off of your sugarcoated gaze

Extravagant endurance empowers me...
If only you knew half of my life story...
You'd be shocked out of your boots of steel
Well, all these feelings and experiences are real

Finally, found freedom behind these walls
I finally see the view over the barbed wire fence
I hear them still...the dreary siren calls
I got to get out of this maze...awaiting deliverance

I've been unfaithful
Sorry, not sorrowful
Regret and the past passed away
Tomorrow is a day away today

I learned to let go and forgive all
I learned to let live and stand tall
I am looking forward to tomorrow
A land of mysteries and clues minus the sorrow
Minus the sorrow...

I am trying to move on from this emptiness inside
I am crying no more tears of tension and fear
Instead, I have decided to let it all disappear and subside
Vanish from my side, anguish that chokes my cheer

Don't provoke me to anger or else...
I will give you yesterday's guilty and yuck, it smells!
Fine...here's a tomorrow
To cherish and borrow
