During the Civil War, money came late,
Indians starved, left to their fate.
Two braves came across a white farmer's food.
They were hungry and stressed and in a bad mood.
Little Bear picked up an egg, Grey Elk said no.
Some things we can't do, some places can't go.
This is a white man's farm; we can't be here.
Little Bear threw it down with contempt for Elk's fear.
Grey Elk was stung, he killed five whites in the farm.
Chief Little Crow found out; said you've done us all harm.
A young man shouted, "Little Crow is afraid, a white man's tool."
Little Crow said, "I am not a coward and not a fool."
[chorus]
Never tell a Warrior he's afraid.
A red cloud will rise, a price will be paid.
The sitting bull will run with the crazy horse.
The wolf pack of fate will follow its course.
Said Crow: Count your fingers any amount.
White men will come faster than you can count….
they will turn on you and devour you all.
Like leaves your women and children will fall.
Little Crow knew what a hopeless battle meant.
But after so many broken treaties, he had to consent.
Friend Wabasha said: It is Great Spirit's will.
We have got to die. Let us, then, kill!
Sioux lost the war, the goal beyond reach.
"I'm ashamed" Little Crow said in his last speech.
Whites are cowardly women, but they won the fight.
Now we must scatter, like buffalo in flight.
[chorus]
Never tell a Warrior he's afraid.
A red cloud will rise, a price will be paid.
The sitting bull will run with the crazy horse.
The wolf pack of fate will follow its course.
There came many seasons, a Drying Grass Moon,
In Dakota reservation, not enough room
Water no good, no game they could see
They buried Crazy Horse at Wounded Knee
By the Yellow Medicine River imagine that force
Traveling Hail, Lightning Blanket, and Crazy Horse
Fierce riding Braves, Flying Hawk and Lone Horn.
From a vain quest of courage, a legend was born.

Vowel and Schwa do not always mean the same thing
It is right in it's time
and odd when

Box turtle, box turtle,
Won’t you play with me?
I found you in the shady woods
Just underneath that tree.
Box turtle, box turtle,
Won’t you come outside?
Don’t stay all closed up in that shell;
You’ve got no need to hide.
Box turtle, box turtle,
How do you ever grow?
It must be hard; you drag that house
Wherever you may go.
Box turtle, box turtle,
How do you hide those feet?
The way you tuck them up inside
Is really pretty sweet!
Box turtle, box turtle,
I’ll let you take a rest.
I guess that all my inquiries
Must have you pretty stressed.
Box turtle, box turtle,
I’ll sit and wait awhile.
It’s not like you’ll go racing off
And run a country mile.
Box turtle, box turtle,
You’ve really got a knack.
I hardly took my eyes off you;
O won’t you please come back?
I can't find it anywhere, I've been searching high and low
It must be somewhere here, I really can not go
Until it shows itself to me I have to stay and look
I'll miss my date unless I look in every little nook
Crannies too I'll have to search, I know it must be here
I'm getting stressed though now so I think I need a beer
The car, that's it, it must be outside in the car
No, the bar, the bar, did I leave it in the bar?
Calm down, it must be here as I had it in my hand
When that scrounger came around looking for a grand
Thats it, my brother stole it when he came around
If I went round his place that's where it will be found
Oh stop I've found it, its decided to be shown
Just where I left it my beloved cell phone
Are you tired
or a little stressed
Massage
for relaxation is refreshing
for the body
Slow and deep,
quality time for yourself
Forget your problems at work
and at home for an hour or two
Let pleasurable and soothing music
help you enjoy the inner peace
A luxurious day of relaxation
like dreams are made of

Because there is so much happening in this country we disagree with
we are attending a No Kings rally today…
This doesn’t mean we are terrorists…or we hate the USA.
We plan to raise our voices in opposition…as is our right to do
and peacefully tell those in charge of our government…
we disagree with you.
That we're against sending our military into our cities
that your tariffs have caused many including our farmers strife…
That we’re against ICE and your racist immigration policy
your lies and your disregard for human life.
That every life not only matters…but is important and valuable too…
not just the ones you deem important…the ones who voted or agree with you.
That we would like to see everyone have health care…
That you stop banning books and whitewashing our history…
That all humans are treated humanely
and we plan to do this…non-violently.
Yes…we will raise our voices in opposition…as is our right to do
and peacefully tell those in charge…we disagree with you.
Because we hate what we see happening in this country…
doesn’t mean we hate the USA
and is the reason we will stand with many others…
in the No Kings protest today.
All the while we will be keeping a watchful eye
feeling nervous, worried and stressed
for those sent by our government
to take away our right to protest…
Because as our government moves away form a democracy
and its actions every day seems more and more bizarre
Despite what those in power are saying…we are not terrorists…
but we know who the terrorists are.
My hands are tired, so I let my brush rest,
unable to paint Autumn's loneliness.
How much I miss you can never be stressed.
August has left behind blank emptiness.
Sitting by the window in the corner,
watching the world in its colourful hues.
I search for your face among the murmur,
but all I'm left with is a muse with blues.
In simple stillness your voice echoes loud.
Each stitch I weave I see you before me.
Memories remind me of what we vowed.
Without you there would be no artistry.
My palette is dry without your pastel,
all that's left is an indigo inkwell.
I can't believe I ended up here
My eyes begin to fill with tears
As I think about all of my shame
There's only one person I can blame
I can't believe I lasted this long
In my heart I know I'm strong
As I tried to numb all of my pain
I realized there wasn't anything to gain
All it did was make things worse
I was really close to ending up in a Hearse
I can't believe a man made me this hurt
Then began to grab my name through the dirt
In the end everything fell apart
And I had to pick up the pieces of My broken heart
I can't believe I let things go this far
When I think about it now it's so bizarre
That chapter of my life had to die
So I could move forward I had to try
To continue going on a different path
Don't cross me now or you'll feel my wrath
I can't believe I'm finally putting this all behind
one things for sure I'll never rewind
My life has a whole new perception
As I walk along this road to Redemption
I can't believe I finally turned my life around
The woman I thought was lost was finally found
Now I stand tall on this solid ground
The changes in my world feel so profound
I can't believe I started this whole new chapter
My daily medicine now is constant laughter
It took me a long time to get where I'm at today
All those nights I use to sit and pray
I can't believe God was really listening
Then I look up at the sky and I see the sun glistening
Everyday I realize I'm really blessed
No more staying awake at night because I'm stressed
I can't believe I have no more racing thoughts
The peace I feel now cannot be bought
I finally live my life just letting things be
Because I'm finally becoming the best version of me
The breeze perfectly snaked up the mountain,
Through bushes, over rocks, towards me.
I leant back, pulling my wing up, it bloated in full,
Then hovered above the trees.
I stood there, both hands working the lines,
Looking out across the empty.
And I casually stepped off the cliff, “Was there enough air?” I thought.
Yes, there was plenty.
The thermal soared me straight up, into the vast,
Below me everything became small.
I flew up so high, I was part of the sky,
My life begged this wing not to stall.
Then, all of a sudden, I popped out of the thermal,
My wing crumpled into a small nothing,
I plummeted in that momentary second, it opened again,
This wing was only bluffing.
Of course I was at the mercy of the air,
As it roared like the ocean and waves.
It took me silently over the cemetery of its victims,
An air cemetery full of its graves.
For hours I surfed, predicting the swell,
Riding breaks and soaring off the crest.
And then I cruised back to the Earth, landing on terra firma,
Feeling heaps, and way less stressed.
Paragliding was my life, for a while,
It was my source of unwind, loosen up, and relax.
What things relax you, how do you chill and compose,
Loosening up to the max?
Sh!
No needs,
clinical, inept attention,
no noise
We have to hear Robbie.
She understood at a young age
It is not about her
Life revolves around her brother
He rules the family
Sh! No needs.
It is not about you.
What do you want?
We are busy with Robbie now.
Robbie is the one who
Has seizures.
Birthday party invitation?
Not unless he can go too.
Picnic at the museum?
Ask if we can take Robbie.
If not, we are sorry, but you cannot go.
It would not be fair.
What do you want this time?
Can't you see we are stressed?
We are busy!
Why are you always asking?
What, Robbie, honey?
What are you trying to say, sweetie?
In awe that they do not see themselves,
She finally stops asking.
As they hover around their king,
honey-ing him and sweetie-ing him,
she quietly cuts her arms with knives,
wondering if she will bleed.
Forgotten before
She was born,
her life that never was
quietly slips away,
unnoticed...
Sh!
No noise. No needs.
